One single positive to cling on to.

November 6th 1986, almost 20 years ago, Sir Alex Ferguson was appointe Manchester United manager.

On that day, we were bottom of the table, with 9 points in 13 games.

We stayed up.

We've done it before, we can do it again.

Keep the faith.

So here we are in the bottom 2, after many on here predicted top 5 or 6 and European qualification, and the best we can come up with is keep the faith we can stay up.

Just shows how bad things have got.

If its omens you want ;-

In 1977/78, we had just appointed a manager who had been caretaker the previous season, and got the club into the UEFA Cup

We went to Corsica and got a result in a game we were expected to lose, just like Palermo last Thursday.

We won our first home match

We had a talented group of players ON PAPER(including 2 excellent full backs, but this is NOT the same today..!)

We couldn't get results in crucial matches.

WE WENT DOWN - HISTORY ONLY SHOWS THAT PEOPLE MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES TWICE.
