I've never seen that super extended version of that Nike ad before. Amazing stuff.

 

 

This, and the Airport '98 ad are the ones that stick in my mind.

 

 

I remember, even though everyone hated Cantona at school, we all used to do the Au Revoir bit in the yard. Class advert. We used to do the '98 airport advert around Eldon Square too, when I was about 13, with a dinky size 1 football.

The "Au Revoir" was a classic in Spain too, Cantona became famous in Spain more from that ad than anything else. All kids were doing it before shooting a pen.

 

This is one of my faves. Quite funny to see how many of the cast are still active, despite being from 1998 iirc.

Nike always do sick world cup ads, this one may have just ovetaken my previous favourite from France 98 with the Brazil team in the airport.

 

 

Brilliant - all the better because of the final Post and Out - followed by the kids look of disgust.
