@Tron

Sadly I agree the board or the management would never judge a player on his actual footballing ability on his resale value.

Even on a free we only signed Ba on a pay as you play scheme. Are we really going to pay £6m on top of that 2 yrs down the line?

Their is more chance of Joe Kinnear coming back.. Oh wait.

It's like that 60million TV deal never happened.

Or the season tickets, Or the wonga deal, or the merchandise, or the wages saved by letting 4 first teamers go

Little piece in today's Star saying Kinnear was offered Jefferson Montero but he's off to Palace for 6m instead.

Right, because we have no use for a young winger with potential. Hope it's not true.

We clearly have our eggs all firmly in the Gomis basket. We won't look at anything else until thats done.

Great if it pays off..frustrating but great. An absolute disaster if not given the players we might have got instead that we have ignored.

It would look that way from the lukewarm efforts for Bent and non-interest in Downing. It's Gomis or bust by the looks of it. Pours cold water over the idea that we were after all three strikers though.

Get Pablo Osvaldo over the line!  would be a great signing.

Off to Southampton is the rumour.

Surely they can't afford him? Where are they getting the money from?

Oh yeah, their slice of the biggest TV deal in the sport and/or their ambitious owner investing cash to push the team forward.

It seems that way.....

People are being so ungrateful in here. We had to fork out £250k to install Hawkeye, how can we be expected to spend any money on transfer targets?
