Luuk de Jong signs for PSV

Recommended Posts

He's playing under Alan Pardew. No player can be judged on that, the man who freezes out his two most naturally gifted players. I'd take the chance on LDJ with a different manager but under Pardew, no way.

Even Pardew can't take the blame for a striker being shit scared of the penalty area. Adam Armstrong played about 15 mins this season and he's had more shots on goal.

Good point. Fuck LDJ and give Armstrong some fucking gametime next year.

Also, why are all our younger strikers so short?

Ayoze is on a pittance at Tenerife fwiw.

Excuses started already for not getting players over the line

No idea if he's any good. It is Pardew managing him after all but really isn't worth the risk.

De Pong failed his 12 game trial. Not suited to the league and lacking in confidence as well as strength.

Shame it's taken us fourteen years to realize the same for Ameobi.

I suppose he's better than nothing if we manage to sign nobody as expected.

We would be better off keeping Shola, that's how bad this lad has been.

understand what you mean but has looked awful in a poor team ,confidence rock bottom and cannot help to feel sorry for him so a couple of million or a free no issues with that .As we stand we have Cisse out till whenever and a young kid getting 10 minute run outs  :frantic:

Looks like we really dodged a bullet with this plank. Imagine if we'd spent money on him that time he ended up going to Monchengladbach?

Never really looked like he'll amount to anything here from day one, probably with a little bit more match practice and confidence he could still cut it in Germany or back home.

Are we def not signing him then? Maybe his loan just finished and maybe there's a danger we'll still go back for him.
