Shaqiri is decent, but he hasn't performed consistently since he left Basel. It will certainly improve Stoke, but it isn't such a coup. Better players have gone to middling PL teams this season.

It isn't much different than Moses or Bojan playing for them, in terms of the level of player and the effect he'll likely have on the team. It is just that Shaqiri has been a big name for several years and Stoke are still looked down upon because of the Pulis era and being a relatively small club. The move stands out a bit.

Shaqiri is twice the player Moses and Bojan have ever been tbf.

I think Shaqiri is overrated, tbh. Both Moses and Bojan were very, very effective for Stoke last season when fit (this was the main issue, both struggled with injuries), I'd genuienly be surprised if Xherdan was that much better.I quite like Shaqiri, but his flashy style and big name can inflate opinions of him at times, tbh.

Stoke now have more Champions League winners in their squad than any other team in the league. Stoke do. Just let that sink in...  :anguish:

Is this true? I can count at least five at Chelsea immediately-Terry, Ivanovic, Mikel, Cahill, Ramires. There might be more. Does Muniesa have a medal? He barely played for Barcelona.

Even Chelsea? Or Man Utd?

He might be overrated but he's still comfortably better than Bojan and Moses lol.

A confident Bojan is a very good player, to be frank. Not too sure he's worse than Shaqiri.

 Never seen Bojan be confident if he's a very good player when he is.

Salah vs. Chelsea. Not sure about Shaqiri. Maybe against Man U?

Aye, think it was Man Utd. in fergie's penultimate season. Looked a top prospect in that game.

Rahman - has looked solid enough for Ghana. The Ghana NT is very counter attack based and the fullbacks tend to be pretty reserved so it's difficult to say how good he is in that regard. For some reason we like to play Kwadwo Asamoah (the most technically gifted GH player imo) at leftback and he's nowhere near that quality. But everyone seems to think he'll cement LB for himself and we might finally see Asamoah regularly in midfield for Ghana.

Just heard on SSN that Bristol City are about to buy Dwight Gayle for £6m rising to £8m.

Both mental that Palace are selling him (numbskull manager notwithstanding), that no PL sides are in for him, and since when the fuck could Bristol City afford that?!

FWIW I'd be delighted if we signed him.

Got owners that are happy to bankroll the club. Remember the Bristol owner being interviewed last season, seemed happy to plough cash into anything Bristol and sport related.
