[emoji38] Pogba is quite irritating, yes. Just tries too hard man. Guy really needs to chill out some.

Literally the next post

Geeeeez!  :o

If they add those two I will have a cheeky punt on them winning the league, as the odds would be pretty sweet.

I didn't say they would win (Everton that is). Just that it might be worth a punt if the odds are crazy. Say 70 to 1 or something.

You're so silly man

Amavi off to Sevilla.

Villa owner claimed they'd rejected a 25m bid for him last night.

Strange considering they've just sold him for £8m.

Turns out it was in January they rejected 25m.

Worth a punt no?

The odds will be good man. You never know.

Everton have bought very well imo.

Strengthening their 1st team and thereby their squad, backing a very talented manager with a structured plan to improve their league position..madness eh.

Not sure where the negativity comes from for some of the signings they have made...are the prices over inflated, well yes they probably are but that is what is the going rate nowadays (sadly, for football in the long run). If we had bought any of those players I'm sure they would have been heralded as very solid buys by most.

Meanwhile we scrabble around the bargain bucket, penny pinching and worryingly possibly alienating a top class manager in the process (of course that may very well be the imbecile who owns us full intention).

A club of what should be similar stature to them behaving like a league one side.

Not so sure about Everton really, a lot of their signings seem very heavy gambles imo. They'll need to do a lot, without Lukaku you look at the team and they don't seem all that much and i say that as someone who has been very critical of Lukaku.

Not convinced or saying they will win the league :)

But finish better placed than last season? They have given themselves every chance, which is surely what it's all about? improvement.

No guarantees obviously but if you don't do owt then you can't expect to even compete, and that is where we are.

Yeah i don't think they will as things stand assuming Lukaku goes, of course they still might buy more and i can change my mind.

A lot of money is being spent on going from 7th to 7th. Ambition is great, of course, but if £120m goes on Pickford, Van Dijk and Keane I think that's scandalous.

if they didn't spend then 7th to 9th would be a failure?

To even stand still requires an outlay, and we don't yet know if they will improve on that 7th. Maybe they will. maybe one of the 'big boys' will have a season to forget (as has happened recently with some of them).

At least they are showing some ambition to try and compete.

Personally the money being spent nowadays (generally in football) sickens me to the pitt of my stomach.

Everton will have every chance of catching whichever of the top 6 decides to self combust this season (as at least one of them usually does).

I do think they've wasted some of what they've spent, but they've had a very good summer so far like.

As i said before their summer so far reminds me a lot of the summer Spurs sold Bale, we'll see if they are able to use future seasons to build like Spurs did.

Boro have signed Christie from Derby. That's a good signing and since we have let Anita go and will no doubt be open to offers for Gamez, I think he would have been a good option for us.

The Championship is going to be very difficult to get out of this season like, the quality isn't necessarily high but all of the teams are very even.
