Some people think Rafa looked happy and some think he was angry? How can that be?

Two different press conferences.

Two different Rafas.

I'm not even sure if this is a joke or not. I can't believe anything.

Christ, if Football Focus starts tomorrow and Dan Walker immediately starts off with, "... and we have some breaking news regarding the sale of Newcastle United..."

One day in 1996 I tuned in to football focus & they did indeed have breaking news on Newcastle United.... we'd signed Alan Shearer for a world record fee.

No strong emotion visible in Rafa’s verbals or non-verbals, for me like. Christ, are there three Rafas/interviews. It’s an Ashley conspiracy!!!

The breaking news has to come sometime. I find it hard to believe that they would do so with a pre-recorded interview. In saying that the interview would be great in order to get to know their ambitions for the club, who’s behind the deal etc, I just can’t see it coming at the same time as an announcement.

Honestly, what are the chances that the sale has been done, the interview has been pre-recorded to air tomorrow, and nothing has leaked out yet? Is that even possible?

No.

Press embargoes and NDA’s happen all the time. Apple use them for their products reviews before press launches.

30 July 1996 was a Tuesday. Never known Football Focus to not be on a Saturday.

Amanda first showed up on the day we played Liverpool at home on the 1/10/17. I find it very hard to believe that in the three months since that the sale of our club hasn't been finalised or is incredibly close to being so.

The thing that annoys me most about this whole takeover saga are the people who constantly put an apostrophe in NDAs.

They're the fucking worst of the lot. Sort yourselves out, seriously. It's wrong.

I really like Micky Quinn, like. He seems proper canny, and his heart's in the right place. My first football hero purely because he had a mustache.

Embargoed press releases are pretty routine. Gives the media (chosen outlet) time to choose their angle/write their story/film their interview (whoop-whoop!  :indi: ). Nah! Tomorrow’s just another day. Or is it?
