Genuine question here...

To what extent do the injuries we've had relate to intensity/fatigue?

Or do folk reckon it's just rotten luck?

Most good sides play and train with intensity though. Even the likes of Bournemouth and Luton are doing it, Leeds etc previously.

You'd expect niggles and some muscle injuries, but they've coincided with some freak injuries and Tonali being a radge gabling addict. Obviously correlation but I wouldn't expect this level to be the norm.

In Australia is relates to those nasty stingers that resemble jellyfish

In Australia its also a hit kids show.

Just don't get the meanings confused coz kids show and porno is obviously a no go!

I’m not sure which camp annoys me more. The doom squad who are turning on Eddie after an injury crisis…or the boot lickers who view him as infallible based on one incredible season.

Any manager can be criticized. Eddie has made several mistakes this season.

He deserves more time but shouldn’t be given too long of a leash purely based on the injuries (or last seasons successes)

Tonali ban has been massive for us this season. Hopefully we can bring in another strong midfielder I'm the summer, with Tonali back it will be like a new signing.

Can’t be massively critical of him tonight but that midfield 3 is absolutely atrocious, has been since Joelinton’s injury and nothing has been done to remedy it.

Given the players available, what do you think he could have done to remedy it? Not being facetious, just interested to hear some suggestions.

But that’s a weakness of his coaching. If they don’t win the league this seasons it’s because they still can’t really defend.  He has injury hit seasons because he runs his players ragged.

But we know the ceiling of Klopp. We don’t know Howe’s ceiling.  Every manager has their weaknesses.  I’m glad people are at least accepting that Howe has them and they are BAD.

Okay, well if Klopp has weaknesses (and Pep will too) then you would hope people might put things into perspective. Some won't but some will.

Hard to see us performing like that in the same circumstances last season but at the same time we didn't have those circumstances last season.

Four purples, one's half fit, a reserve keeper and a Pardew cup tie midfield of Cabaye+2 generic squad guys. Excepting the players Howe himself improved.

Results/performances aren't running counter to that and we don't have the personnel or lack of expectation to play like Dyche.

Keegan in similar circumstances got turned over 3-0 at QPR with one forward, injuries and a reserve keeper. Same time of year.
