Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

How many goals did Riviere have for us? Was it one? In five years? Or did he get two?

Had to look it up, he was with us for three years, played 31 games and scored 3 goals and 1 assist.

Bought for 6.3m  Euro and sold for 1.1, so that's only about 1.2 million euros per goal or assist, not counting wages.

Fucking bargain actually.

Worst signing in our history, yet we somehow get 15m+ for him.

Incredible business.

Kin hell, I wish I had your NUFC memories instead of mine.

I think he's getting all the bites he needed, I should know better

certainly just one in the PL and it was an accidental bounce off his arse

I reckon if he’d put that chance away at Sheffield Wednesday then he would be digging in his heels to stay, and Eddie would probably want to keep him around. The nature of the miss though, and his reaction to it, basically confirmed to everyone that his time here was up.

Not to mention that Rangers got Boumsong on a free, and made a tidy profit just 6 months later - bloody outrageous. The transfer was investigated over corruption, wasn't it? Can't remember what the final result was, but even if nothing was proven, clearly some fishy goings on.

Yup, one PL goal in 26 appearances [emoji38]

Essentially paying £10m to get a 1 in 3 striker,  who helped us stay up and deprived a relegation rival of the player they centred everything around has proven to not only be a masterstroke, but in the end the one thing it never was, an absolute bargain.

Reading between the lines, it is clear that Lee Charnley having found the Forest fax machine, now knows somewhere that he can fax transfer offers to.

expect a £12m bid for Jeff Hendrick by end of week.

Has it been confirmed how many he has to score? 5 has been mentioned. He won't score that like.

I'm ok with him doing a Dubravka and talking about how it's his dream move to sit on Notts Forest's bench.

So that means Wood cost us £10m plus a years wages. Looks a much better deal now

Yep, we needed a focal point striker, he did what eddie asked, we stayed up comfortably.  Wish him well and Ill he seems like a great bloke.  Obviously wants regular starts as well.

With such a deal then I think it likely was just to good to turn down and we dont have a replacement lined up.

Fine by me, id rather use the funds in midtfield instead.

He didnt work out as a super sub, but I think he did a good job last season and i think he can do a good job as a regular at Nottingham.

The clause is probably(hopefully) dependant on appearances and on them staying up.

25m for that plank.

Show me a worse signing?

Owen of course worst signing in NUFC history by a country mile. A few others... Rivière, Boumsong, Muto, Marcelino, Xisco, Saivet, De Jong, Cabella, Marveaux, Riviere, Doumbia, Babayaro, Barnes, Rush, Colback, Guivarc'h, Hendrick, Ireland, Larnock, C Moore, Oates, Pancrate, Pinas, Sels, Dahl Tomasson, A Andersson and Sol Cambell.

But especially the twat Owen.

Eddie needs to designate another player to practice making Miaow noises for when Kurt Zouma and West Ham arrive in a couple of weeks.

And still probably the worst 4 strikers in my lifetime.......Rob Macdonald, Ray Clarke and Bobby Shinton and Billy Rafferty.
