Players have their worth based on pitch performance, consistency and results back the compensation. Tielemans doesn’t control games. He doesn’t set the tempo (anymore). He doesn’t take over games. He’s a good player when you’re doing well. He doesn’t drag a team up or improve them in immeasurable ways. He’s not our Bruno. He’s not our Joelinton. Big risk of ending up with someone you can shift if they are underwhelming as their wages are above market rate. Ramsey at Juve being a great example of that.
