Well you have, just not so consistently recently. 

 

I think it's possible that he overthinks things like has been said before. Especially when going through a rougher spell.

 

Then again, Cole Palmer doesn't have two braincells to rub together and his form has dipped even more.

I’ve seen him play well. I’ve seen him try harder than he is now. But mentality is about keeping doing it when things aren’t so good, not seen that.

Well you can have good periods and bad still, no matter what your mentality is. I don't really understand, if you keep doing it when things aren't good, aren't things good?

When he's not playing well his head drops and he's slower to respond, losses some of his drive.

 

A bad touch is one thing. Giving up on a loose ball is another and a sign of a poor mentality.

 

One thing I liked about Tiote RIP - he didn't let a bad pass or anything change his game. Fully committed game in game out. James Milner too. He was even the subject of boo boys right? From memory it didn't impact his ability to play his game the best way he could. At least in his head

I think he hasn’t tried a leg and played poorly for most of this season. Every time he loses the ball his first reaction is to drop his head or stop before he reacts and tries to get back into the game. I know some people disagree but a lot of other people have also seen it. So he’s either a lazy bastard, which the season before would suggest he isn’t, or mentally he’s not in the game.
