Bellis80 Posted yesterday at 15:50 Share Posted yesterday at 15:50 You can talk about a top mentality all you want but i’ve not seen any of that on the field.

Well you have, just not so consistently recently. I think it's possible that he overthinks things like has been said before. Especially when going through a rougher spell. Then again, Cole Palmer doesn't have two braincells to rub together and his form has dipped even more. Bellis80 Posted yesterday at 15:59 Share Posted yesterday at 15:59 I’ve seen him play well. I’ve seen him try harder than he is now. But mentality is about keeping doing it when things aren’t so good, not seen that.

I don't really understand, if you keep doing it when things aren't good, aren't things good?

A bad touch is one thing. Giving up on a loose ball is another and a sign of a poor mentality. One thing I liked about Tiote RIP - he didn't let a bad pass or anything change his game. Fully committed game in game out. James Milner too. He was even the subject of boo boys right? From memory it didn't impact his ability to play his game the best way he could. At least in his head

Every time he loses the ball his first reaction is to drop his head or stop before he reacts and tries to get back into the game. I know some people disagree but a lot of other people have also seen it. So he’s either a lazy bastard, which the season before would suggest he isn’t, or mentally he’s not in the game. Erikse
https://www.premierleague.com/news/4316309 Quote I am, however, considering bringing in a differential and captaining them, with Anthony Gordon (£7.4m) one player who I think can go big. Newcastle need a win, while Everton have nothing to play for. Gordon has looked lively in his last couple of games playing in a front three with little defensive responsibility. Against his old club, and with so much at stake for Newcastle, he will be as motivated as ever. Bold move.. Maybe he just want other people to cap him. Well played if so. Yorkie
Pleased to see him back in the England squad even if I think he's a bit fortunate to be there. Hopefully it gives him a shot in the arm and he ends this mixed bag of a season in a blaze of glory against those God-awful cunts.
