I wonder how he will adapt his game if he has lost a yard of pace.

 

Shearer's strength in the air, in the box and taking penalties meant he could continue to be a goalscorer. Owen may come back with the same pace but if not then itll be interesting to see how he plays off the last defender.

Owen is a footballer with great thinking and instincts, im sure he will be ok.

Still him losing anymore pace would make it even more difficult to be the Owen of old.

 

But, the 18months off football could help him later in his career, but i doubt he'll be here then.
