I have told him this does not really make any sense as the guy is pretty old and I was under the impression that he still owned a substantial part of NUFC. Does anyone know anything about this? Owls chairman Dave Allen says talks are on-going with several interested parties in taking over at Hillsborough. But Owls chief executive Kavan Walker insists property tycoon Sir John, who severed his ties with Newcastle in August 2003, is not one of them. "We have had no contact from Sir John Hall with regard to investment in Sheffield Wednesday," said Walker. "Talks are ongoing with a number of different parties who are interested in backing the club and we will work towards the best possible outcome for Sheffield Wednesday through these negotiations." Millionaire casino owner Allen recently confirmed he had held talks with a Chinese consortium headed by a multi-millionaire casino owner about a possible takeover.
