I think he would have been daft enough to appoint him, the only difference would have been that people might have seen this season as an improvement over last.

Finishing so high last season was actually detrimental as its lumbered us with Roeder.

 

Amusingly (or not), the higher league position was seen by some as a bonus in trying to persuade a decent manager to try his hand. Ho hum.
