Pearce names finals squad

England Under 21 boss Stuart Peace has named a provisional 30-man squad for this summer's European Championship.

 

Pearce will have to cut down the squad down to 23 by 30th May for the finals in Holland.

 

Pearce and the squad will travel to Spain for a training camp on 21st May before taking on Slovakia in a warm-up friendly at the end of the month.

 

England begin their European Championship campaign with a game against Czech Republic on 11th June.

 

Everton youngster James Vaughan and Manchester City's Michael Johnson have been included in the squad after impressing in the final few weeks of the season.

 

West Ham's Mark Noble has also been drafted into the squad after catching the eye at Upton Park recently

What an awful team.  :lol:

 

Doubt more than a couple of them lot have any sort of long term future in the national side. Surely Milner is better than Whittingham though.

I'd have Nedum Onuoha in there ahead of Taylor.

Milner ahead of Whittingham, not sure who I would bump left between him and Bentley - Probably Milner.

Wouldn't go near Cattermole. Johnson or Noble, not sure.

 

I'd also replace Stuart Pearce with a corner flag.
