True, but he also rates Ramage highly for some bizarre reason. To be fair to the Ramage, he hasn't done too badly for us in UEFA games, and neither did the whole team until Alkmaar away so you can kind of see why Royle may regard him as an OK player based on what he's been watching of him. And they said this man has taste. Well no they didn't actually Joe Royle claimed that Tony Grant was the best passer of a ball from A to B in english football. Repeatedly. Who? Exactly. He was quality but at the same time the most lightweight footballer I've ever seen. If he would have put about two stone on then he would have been a good player.
