Bridge was terrific for a season or two, but then again so was Steve Sidwell, and I've watched Sidwell for two seasons now, and anything he did in the past fades into significance when placed alongside his utter, utter execrable shiteness now.

In fact, Bridge and Sidwell are both good examples of what happens when you take the money and go and make yourself comfy on Chelsea's bench for a year or two.

Daniel Sturridge is doing the same thing right now.

Bridge was on Chelsea's bench for 3 years, essentially. Ruined him, because he was absolutely brilliant at Southampton and then for Ranieri. His appearances for Chelsea at the start of 06-07 with Cole out were also pretty damn good, going forward and defending.

Cole is the best LB in the world... Bridge would be an okay signing but Enrique is better, wouldn't mind Bridge at LB and Enrique on the wing..

Abidal is better than Cole IMO, and why would you want to play Enrique on the wing? Defending is what he does best, so I say we let him keep playing as a defender O0

Abidal is better defensively than Cole. But going forward Ashley is way better. It's good for us, though, since Alves on the other side likes his excursions a bit too much sometimes, and he adds balance.

Wayne Bridge is just another piece of Abramovich's master plan of buying all the young English talent, turn it into shit, and release it again to potential Premier League rivals.
