Offshore
Was it Leeds that went into administration before the end of the season so they wouldn't get docked point at the start of next?

Skirge
Ken Bates remains at the helm of League One outfit Leeds United after winning a second race to buy the club. Administrators KPMG LLP have confirmed the beleaguered club have been sold to Bates' consortium for an undisclosed sum. Bates has beaten off competition from a joint-bid consisting of Simon Franks and Simon Morris along with former Hull City owner Adam Pearson. Former Chelsea supremo Bates originally won control of the club last month, but KPMG put the club up for sale again last week after Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs ('HMRC') issued a challenge to the CVA which had been approved by creditors. Following yet another round of bidding for the fallen giants, Bates is now back at the helm after submitting an improved offer to creditors. Joint administrator Richard Fleming told the club's official website: "We received several offers for the business which we considered carefully. "The approved deal represents the best result for creditors in the circumstances and we believe provides the club with the best chance of survival. "We understand this has been a difficult time for all those concerned about Leeds. This deal is a necessary step if the club is to have a chance of playing in League One." Leeds fans will now be hoping all the off-field drama which has plagued the club this summer has ended and Dennis Wise and co can start building for life in League One. Guest Darth Toon
Good summary on F365: "Leeds United have been sold to Ken Bates (that's for a third time, if anyone's keeping count). Administrators KPMG have decided that Bates' offer is better for the club than the two rival bids. Which presumably means that the Inland Revenue will be taking Leeds to court to try to get the money they are owed, Leeds are in deeper trouble than ever, and the F365 team are going to have a right laugh in the pub later on... Guest Invicta_Toon
as I see it the other two bids were conditional on Leeds being accepted to the League next season, which may be in doubt because of being in administration (although being bought by anyone surely negates that?), so quite rightly KPMG told them to fuck off
Guest Invicta_Toon
Leeds have had their League share refused no football for them btw for all you people slagging the FA for Owen compo ages ago, this is why you don't fuck with them and go back on your membership obligations because you as a club fucked up

Strange since he was probably the one player they signed that actually brought them a huge profit!
