Skirge Posted August 7, 2007 Share Posted August 7, 2007 Martins will put in the effort and drop back to help out, he chases back now to win the ball when he is played upfront, but yes Smith could play in that role too. I think that all of this shows that we do not have the players for a really decent 4-3-3, so we should stick to a 4-4-2. Taylor does not "have" to play and I am glad Sam see's it that way, yes he will be a fantastic player but in a few seasons time, both Souness and Roeder over used Taylor because of having weak squads, he still has plenty to learn and Sam will make sure he learns his trade properly before makign him a first team regular.
