Oh yeah, that Abou Diaby fellow.
-
Seeing it again, it is a pen. But the identity of the 'victim' and his ridiculous overreaction should override that.

Spearing's face.
I'm guessing not at any particular moment... just in general.

All about the cross.
Credit to VP for getting into the position whilst holding off the defender. Could easily have been bullied out of position or put off. Great composure.

Millions of people up and down the country and can see something isn't right with diving like that, but a handful of diplomatic fucks in London don't do anything about it. It's wrong. It feels like some dystopian 1984 Brave New World style bullshit.
Incidents should be reviewed and punished just as much as violent conduct is. No excuse.

Unbelievable pandering from the ref. Fucking no hope if they fall for it so easily.
The nerve of the Racialist to be taking his socks down and shin pads off after he's the one who threw himself out of the way of any contact
-
Can't believe he gave it ffs. Even if is a foul (which it isn't).

Frimpong on Soccer Am just now answering a claim that he's not really a hard man:
"I'm soft with the ladies and hard with the men"
-
Not a chance on Earth that he'll start. They'll be starting Sessegnon of course, that renowned workhorse.
Depressing.

Saw that black Dutch shirt in store today.
Very nice material, feel and look. Will probably get me a Huntelaar one once it appears on one of those dodgy sites.
-
Don't think he ever even stopped. Just one straight wander from the touchline to their goal
-
Was Shearer's winner when he pretty much wiped out Barthez as well after Barthez cocked up for the goal?
Went to that game.
Barthez was on French tv the next day with a splint on his hand

We're past that unfortunately. Our last several performances have been very worrying, including the wins.

Demba Ba @dembabafoot
So strange is football. How did we lost that game?! I'm so pissed! MUST win next week

I think the situation is completely counterproductive to getting the best out of him and an example of terrible man management. It's getting to the point where I cynically but honestly think Pardew doesn't even want to try and is engineering a situation where Hatem comes off looking worse. If Ben Arfa is coming on for 20 minute periods when we're struggling and gives the ball away a few times it gives him the ready made get-out excuse to stick to what he knows.
Sounds like I'm just making excuses for the player and I'm sure there are many on here that will come out with the "gawd are you an NUFC fan or a Ben Arfa fan!?!" type comments but this is honestly how I feel the situation has arisen. I just don't buy the nonsense about him giving the ball away too much or not being able to play wide. It's all a load of shit, especially when the alternatives are Obertan and Ryan Taylor. Ben Arfa is the kind of player who I watch football for and it will make me very sad seeing him go at the end of the season, completely wasted and missmanaged. Some won't be bothered especially if the results continue to flow and we go on to a solid finish without him but for me I'll be gutted. This is a player who was desperate to sign for us and has all the attributes to be a roaring success here if managed in the right way.
Agreed with especially these last two paragraphs. It's an infuriating, frustrating and illogical situation.

So close yet so far comes to mind. Only 3 points off fourth place but the way we've been playing since the new year and it not looking like changing any time soon leaves me with no hope.
-
His use of Cabaye (seemingly at least), truly epitomises what I don't like about him, he should be contributing so much more.
I wonder how he feels now about Pardew's promises of passing, ball retaining football. It's long since gone to shit.
-
He probably feels he's in a situation where he can do no right. He's given barely any time on the pitch and in that short amount he must make every touch count. Either be hyper productive or risk being either hauled off or remain on the bench after the slightest mistake.
It's pathetic that the situation has got to this point.
-
He's becoming an outcast, a square peg in a team of round holes and as far as I'm concerned it's completely inexcusable. The blame lies solely at Pardew's feet, he should be doing everything possible to work him into the team and get the team functioning with him in it - not as a desperate alternative to the methodical hoofball we played today and have done most of the season.
The other games today - 2011/12
