Oh the irony in that. Dalglish saying he wants no "trouble". He's done so much personally to create the siege mentality that has created more tension and will no doubt lead to more trouble.

I can see why they'd be happy about it. Potentially it looks like they're getting a Premier League player, of proven decentish Premier League quality at some point in his career to come down two divisions and help them. You'd think it seems certain he'll do a good job for them.

It's not automatic, only if they feel it's frivolous. Can't remember it being applied that often and if used sparingly think it's a good thing.

Certainly. The less room he had to manoeuvre with, the better we seemed to do. That Tottenham away win for example, I seem to remember we were down to the bare bones.

We probably squeezed as much as we could get out of Dyer, and in hindsight always thought we got rid of Jenas just at the right time really.
