Nolan
front row seat for some Arteta skill.
-
Beckford upfront by himself doesn't fill me with terror.
If ever someone needs a goal or some sort of breakthrough... we are the team!
-
Like that starting XI. At least it's probably the best we could realistically hope for.
-
With a contract written on the back of a napkin.
That avatar is really perfectly cropped! Makes me chuckle every time

He sounds really relaxed. Wish he was interesting like this more often

Thanks for the link. Can't help but feel they're a little generous having gone through the actual footage. Will have to double check.
Edit: Yeah that assist count seems pretty fucked.
-
Shearer got 44 assists in 138 league games at Blackburn.
I've actually been trying to put together his assist total. Where did you get that number from? No way did he average over 10 a season at Rovers I don't think.
Shearer, hands down. Drogba is not even in his league!
Of course they're in the same league!
-
Cool, thanks. He has a tendency to go down far too easily as soon as he's in the box. Hope he cuts it.
-
Haven't seen the Arsenal goals... Just heard Chamakh was fouled for the pen. Was it a foul? Or did he 'win' it?
Glad he's got himself a goal though.
-
Knew this would happen after Ronaldo put Drogba ahead of Shearer on his team.
Had been mentioned a few time in other past threads too. Shearer probably wouldn't make his top 50 Prem strikers list though.
-
As much as I hate Cronaldo he is a must.
-
His last Blackburn season he was also quite the colossus, probably his best individually for them (and thus his best ever also obviously).
Shearer had his peak much younger than Drogba and as a result had a bit less to his overall game, was more of a sheer goalscorer,His passing, crossing and awareness were often praised he had all that very early on.

You're talking as if there was an alternate regime to work under. Unfortunately which manager they hired was the only variable.
-
That Crouch header was pretty sexy!
-
Well that's moot seeing as he didn't want to continue doing any kind of job.
-
Find myself agreeing with both Baba and TT here somehow.
Because the truth lies somewhere between the two. He'll give us more loyalty than most youngsters at other clubs do for sure. But at the same time if we don't improve at the same rate he does in the next 2-3 years he'll be off.
-
Indeed. Like the way it is in England where refs don't hesitate to talk back.
Said it many times but I hate refs that compensate incompetence with authoritarianism.
-
There's a big difference between getting stuck in, playing with physicality and the kind of challenges Henry was putting in against us. Disgraceful.
-
Hehe, unlucky Mick
-
How can you say that?
Surely, even those who don't think Keegan did anything wrong can agree that in hindsight it was probably best for all concerned that he didn't come back.
-
Who the fuck voted for Smith
Well tbf he would be the most unlikeliest of goalscorers.
-
Nothing wrong with the challenge. He's a dirty player but that tackle yesterday wasn't an example of it. Just bad luck for Zamora.
I am very much of this opinion also.
-
Ugh, Liverpool players sure love to get on the floor and stay there.
-
Now that was all round pretty. Nice save Reina.

Fucking hell... who's refereeing? Everton players then crowd swaying the ref.
