Messi already scored as many goals as Carroll this season. Little fella's not too bad.

Sometimes its just nice to see someone be passionate about what they do in voice as well as action, rather than just be programmed to say the same tired lines.

If they do that they are then criticised for being biased. Can't win. Some people just hate on them for the sake of it though.

Yeah, exactly. People are just excited that we are getting a player that has some flair about him and is a better attacking option from midfield than what we have already which could make all the difference come May. If he was that brilliant he obviously wouldn't be coming to Newcastle on loan.

But that in itself is at odds with the notion that he’s fucking brilliant. Brilliant players don’t drop in and out of the first team. I’m not trying to run the lad down but fear some might be expecting too much.

I rhought the reason Carroll got subbed was to prevent him from getting a second yellow.

Hopefully it was partly that and partly because of his tender ankle or whatever it was troubling him. And not for any sporting reasons.

As someone else pointed out, had he committed a lot of the challenges made on him, he's have been sent off a few times over.
