It's a weird one... While I wish it could be like it was just three ago again, full of promise and Keegan at the helm; If he came back now even in a changed set up, I would just be expecting him to say fuck it again and quit over the next thing.

An "easy" goal might be the best thing for him (did very to be alert and follow it up). Get the ball rolling confidence wise especially in the current environment.

Even taking into account the fact it might be "serious" this is Keegan and NUFC, all his talk about this being the only job he'd come back and give it proper crack, saying he wants what's best for us... He's left at the worst possible time and in a complete lurch that's all there is to it.

Nah, the depth of the Souness era was tragic. This is nowhere near yet, but could be heading there. The players seemed just as apathetic out there.
