Maybe Rozehnal forced a clause for number 4 in his contract, and left to the club to tell Nobby the bad news.
-
It's different in the sense that Tevez is an established member of his national team, and highly rated around Europe.
To almost completely deny a player like Faubert (who is a big question mark in terms of what he can potentially become) a chance of getting into a future squad just because he's gone to a club like West Ham, and do it so publicly, is highly moronic imho.
-
Heard about those comments from Domenech this morning on SSN... highly retarded they are. Pretentious drivel.
I guess he'd rather see everyone go to Chelsea and play 10 league games a season. He's a looney twat.
-
Was the number he had at Boro wasn't it?
-
He's been steadily improving over the last 2-3 years... great first half of the season last year, which earned him a callup to the national squad.
He kind of fizzled near the end, and I guess this is a new challenge for him. He is a pacey winger type who plays a very direct style of football, very much suited for the English game. I think he'll be a very decent prem player.
-
yeah exactly... some very odd changes I must sayHarper has always been 13, hasn't he?
Was 12 last season I think.
Changed from 13 to 12 when Andy Griffin changed from 12 to 2 in his last season for us.
Why Nobby would suddenly revert back? I'm sure he has first choice to keep his own number.... and Harps going back and forth... footballers have too much time I guess.
:idiot2:

Whoever changed the title: thank you.

Huh... red lettering/numbers on a black and white shirt... what a good idea!

Shearer does not represent a good transfer, with him in the team we went backwards, regardless of his personal achievements
If you are talking literally I guess that makes sense; as in we were a much better side 96-97 than in 05-06... but all in all it's a rather foolish thing to say.
-
In Sir Bobby's team, was he even our best player reputation aside? Debateable, as Bellamy form was as good as his, albeit in a different role, as were the likes of Dyer, Nobby, Robert, etc.
Would have to agree with most of what you said tmonkey. Bellamy however was only the "best player at the club" for a short period. From the start of the 2005 until, of course, his NUFC demise under Souness. For the two year before that we had several quality players all part of a team system like Bellars, Nobby and Robert, but Shearer still just about edged it in terms of true quality.

Fucking hell man, how big an ego do you have to not understand this?
Anyway, even if you did have a case... that's what happens when you constantly act like a twat, when something is borderline you'll never get your way. Deal with it.

No one gave a shit about it I think. Puzzling!

I liked the old Nike Galaxy shirts... I can't decide what I hate more - the new colors (sinful to change them... and to something so f*cking boring) or the new logo (its boring and will look dated in about a week). ... And "Herbalife" FFS ! - a goddam pyramid sceme company founded by a alcoholic snake oil salesman who topped himself on prescrition drugs...
Not ever buying that shirt.
Bring back the green diagonal sash I say.
It is a great shame. That shirt yellow and green was very recognisable. I like the new logo though very slick... but as you say, very bland adidas template.
The shorts surprised me though! didn't think they'd be white too! They are clearly trying to go for a "Real Madrid of the US" look. Quite pathetic, and the fact they are changing the whole club colours and identity just because of one player AND half way through a season is just sad. They are just trying to milk this for all it is worth not wanting to spare a drop.

Taylor doesnt deserve to be in the England squad right now... but he certainly deserves interest from the National manager and being kept track of.
-
I may be wrong, but i was under the impression he was pretty average last season, but that he is now seen as some kind of junior Maldini for having hobbled through that U21 match.
Didn't turn into a world beater, but strong signs of yet another big step in the right direction. Plus getting a few goals along the way.
-
Or maybe you are clueless.
Potential is there but he's error prone and makes rash tackles.
just like john terry used to. any excuse to have a go at taylor
That's what this sounds like... I guess we might as well just cancel his contract then if he absolutely and positively is never going to improve.
-
Or maybe you are cluleless.

Should be an exciting season for us with Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson adding to the quality of our squad and other teams like Newcastle should be stiff competition for the UEFA champions league and UEFA cup places.
I'm hoping Arsenal won't be the same without Thierry Henry.
Why hello Lee... what brings you back here? Thought you had sworn never to return.

The idea of legal challenges against message board postings makes me laugh the whole day long.
Oh dear... are you saying they are stupid idiots for taking such actions??!
-
Look at the worst offender for diving in that CL final - Eboue.
I bet you'd have him here in a flash, though.
Why would you assume that?
Typical "but but but, they did it too" attitude, like kids arguing about who started it... no one is mightier than anyone else here. But you'd expect that from a team who proudly score goals with their hands.
-
Clearly fouled.
-
it's not like our opponents wouldn't have players who would do the exact same in that situation.
the old "they'd do the same so let's go there too" ...we've been round this debate already... Personally i'd be disgusted if we won a game thanks to a diving scumbag of our own. People who condone it have no right to complain when we fall victim to it.
Signing someone like Deco would be a sure way to see that happen on a regular basis

Eto'o is completely moot though, he still has a massive reputation in Europe, there's no way he'll be a NUFC player next season.
Kieran Richardson - stupidest man in football???
