  1. aye,when (if true) villa bidding £7mill for reo-coker
  2. Now why would we give him an extra £10k a week for? to employ an electronic tag minder ?
  3. All we are waiting for is a fax from Man City to complete the deal. He left SJP to think things over and then came back a short time later to agree to sign. Signs officially in the morning (Fax permitting!) signs officially usually means signed hours ago but lets have some pics of himsigning a blank sheet of paper
  4. I was going with an attacking 4-3-3 with all the strikers, which could be our home setup, and would be interesting. Defensive i'd go 4-5-1 -------------Butt--------- ----Barton---------Zoggy Milner-----------------Martins -----------Viduka--------------- I'm not adding Duff into this as he's out for half a season. For me Milner has to be in the squad somewhere, arguably our best player last season, i hope SA has a big future from him here. i remember doing all this sort of stuff on gran canaria when we'd signed ferdinand, ginola etc
  5. To be fair Midds, I reckon whatever we were going to put on the table West Ham would better anyway. West Ham will offer players 10 grand more than other clubs because it's the only way they'll get them to sign. If it was all about money he could've kept on driving and used that as a bargaining tool for getting 80k a week off those animals. My take on it anyway. exackhly (he is a scouser),it is a good sign for us that he didn't even want to talk to the appy ammers in the end
  6. or dyer and bridge as wingbacks with a centre half 3. i know man
  7. 5.5m for Barton is not cheap, imo. Speed £5.5m - 1998 Hamann £4.5m - 1998 Dyer £6m - 1999 Maric £3.5m - 1999 Bassedas - £4m - 2000 Jenas - £5m - 2002 Viana - £8.5m - 2002 Parker £6.5m - 2005 Emre £3.8m - 2005 A selection of central midfield players over the last decade who have signed for us. Look at the prices even as far back as when we bought Speed. I don't think we've got a bad deal at all in terms of a transfer fee considering he's proven Premiership quality. If he does half as well as Speed then we're on a winner. I agree. It's a fair price. Liverpool paid £24m for Cisse and Diouf. Man Utd paid £28m for Juan Sebastian Veron. Chelsea paid £24m for SWP. They're on about £10m for this Fernandes who might be good but he's far from proven. I think it's a good deal. they would have been fair prices if they done the bizz,if barton is crap for us then it will be seen as a bad price
  8. it would appear everything has been agreed,i'd be surprised if he hasn't signed the required papers etc as story has it we are just awaiting paperwork off citeh. i'd like to know the conversation that happened in that car mind.
  9. it makes sense for agents to leak higher wages to the press, then they can say to another employer with another client.."player x is on £70,000,so my client must be worth that" even if not true.
  10. if we do get viduka will he take part in the early stages of the season, the asia cup takes up most of july if Oz do well.
  11. it'll make us look silly if he signs for them
  12. wouldn't just yet,until he actually signs i wouldn't go jumping about!
  13. thats a stanley knife in bartons right hand
  14. the highest compliment is the boro fans saying "anywhere but newcastle" means they must rate him
  15. Probably found out that there wont be a press conference, so Jim White will be calling on all mongs to flock at St. James Park to protest against such a travesty. it'll just be the full story as opposed to a brief snippet. aye it was
  16. Some b****** bought me a pint of Vaux once in a pub in Stockton,it was the most disgusting, revolting pint i've ever attempted to sup.One sup and the taste asnd stench of this "beer" made me heave.Told my mate never to attempt to infiltrate my person with mackem leper juice ever again. it's not even that it was mackem beer, just that it was manky beer!
  17. Deserves a wider discussion in my opinion not just about Barton but the whole football and morals issue Is signing Joey Barton moral? What moral obligations does a football club, our club have to fill, if at all? none. But it will be interesting to see how many people who supported the sale of Craig Bellamy for being a "cancer" change their stance on Barton. Me ? If he's half the player Bellamy was, I'll be happy it's what they do here that matters to most...ie he may have been a t*** elsewhere but if he keeps his nose clean here and does the biz, most will be happy. exactly, as they were happy with Bellamy until Souness came along and called him a liar. but that was bellamy not keeping his nose clean here we go again..sorry folks!

  19. played there a few times for their first team aswell
  20. Stubbed a cigar in the eye of some youth player who was setting his shirt a blaze. Knocked 7 bells out of French person (Dabo) Showed his arse to a bunch of arseholes. Assaulted a young Everton fan in Thailand, bit Richard Dunne's finger. Arrested on suspicion of criminal assault and criminal damage after an alleged argument with a taxi driver. Upset a few pricks who released books after a poor cup by saying "'We got beat in the quarter-finals. I played like s***. Here's my book." They may be a few more bits held the lad down to stub the ciggie in his eye.... when dabo was flattened, continued to put the boot in... He hasn't got an off switch...really similar to Bowyer's problem. The passion makes him a committed 100% player; the lack of an off switch turns him into a nucking futter... broad scouse accent
