Good post and some solid arguments. Uefa aren't totally blameless in this fiasco. could have held it at croft park, doesnt matter, why is it year after decade the same teams fans are accused of using all means to get into games where they shouldn't be.

Im not panicing at all, i guess the fact that you dont really know many of the players were bein linked with is abit of a worry *in a way* in a way its quite exciting, and i have total faith in Big Sams ability to notice unknown talent. will the Joey Barton transfer be completed by tomorrow do you think?? Don't think anyone would be able to make a fair judgement tbh, mate. Who knows? so if the takeover eventually happens and Ashley is in charge, as a gestimate, how much money (transfer wise) are we possibly talking? A couple million more that what we noramally get, or Roman Abromovich style? Just out of interest like. 45mill has been rumoured in the red tops

i was there,my first trip to merseyside and i found out what a bunch of scumbags they really were.been back about a dozen times and at least 3/4s have been dodgy (lovely laughing scousers in the pub, then they ring their mates and get you heavily outnumbered, then they aren't so nice). every club has its scum, some have more than others! they murdered us on the pitch,we murdered them in support and noise. the main thing i remember about the game was in the first couple of minutes souness jumping in and raking his studs down kenny whartons shin, they were very very good with the ball and near psychotic without it.

it's been in a few of the papers, not in quotes mind

Hell of a difference though in the abilities of Roy Keane and Joey Barton. Indeed, but the people slagging him off for his (admittedly somewhat mardy-arsed) temperament might want to reflect on what they prefer, a team of losing nice guys, or a team with a few nasty c***s which wins things. At the end of the day, Fat Sam wanted him, you've got to put trust in his judgement. We do all have faith in Allahdyce to sort this character out. I agree with your general point too. big sam in religous conversion shocker

he's deciding over the weekend,it's not the weekend anymore where he is........we want an answer!

just one,all the rest are saying what we say
-
too little has been made of Sam not at least persuading Parker to stay for another season within a new set-up under a different chairman imho What evidence do you have to suggest that he didnt ? We can only guess at what was discussed between them maybe, just maybe, allardyce didn't want to persuade him to stay and was quite happy for him to go so he could have the cash for squad building

Would be the coup of the century so far, although I can understand how you'd hate to admit it. It's never going to happen. That may be the case, but if it did and at that price, it would be an amazing piece of business. I'd put money on Sunderland staying up if they did sign him. Lot of money for a season or two, and like i said before, he'd struggle in a team that are not on his level. £2mills not a lot if it means staying up or relegation,or the difference in 2 or 3 places in the prem,...could be a good move for both, personally i see him at old trafford for 1 more season £2m plus his £2.5m a year wages, a lot of money for a 32 year old and for a club returning to the EPL. Only so many Irish and Manu contacts Keane can abuse until he has to do what everyone else does. but remember,if they stay up that £4.5mill will be worth it and his signing would attract others

2 years ago, Ronaldo was considered a diving poor excuse for a Beckham replacement....Kaka was thought of as "too light" for world class; and Ronaldhino was on "another planet class"!? I don't fall out with your estimation of their class; but quality is prone to breakdowns... We are too quick to hang our players out to dry...its the one thing that pisses me off about being a Toon fan...Look back at the reports of Emre...he was considered by many reports as the "Maradona of the Bospherous"....good enough to be picked up by Inter... As I said, he has not shown it for the Toon..and the pace of our league may be the reason...but I'd like to see him prove us wrong very good point ,well put!

how long did it take you to research that silly piece...ie comparing 2 teams. you have a point about more foreigners, but have a look at man utd and liverpool squads circa 91-92
