How did they deserve to lose? Because they didn't play well enough, imo. Simple really. They created more chances than Chelsea and had more possession. That to me says they deserved to win. Their tempo was horrendously slow. I think they thought all they had to do was to turn-up and the rest would take care of itself. Don't know how you deserve to win when you play badly and your finishing is shit. (Not to mention their terrible set-pieces.)
