  1. That’s a lot of movement because of 1 injury.
  2. That’s true I’m just trying to see the positives. It’s Milan that’s the kicker. The other 2, there were harder teams that we Didn’t get.
  3. None of them are THAT good though. We can beat all 3 at home and get a result away to secure qualification. There’s no whipping boy aye but there’s no Real Madrid.
  4. Great draw. Could finish 1st could finish last. All classic CL teams. 7-8 CL winners between em. 10-12 final appearances between em. Great away day.
  5. If not better than us then at least have an elite manager with a good few elite players. Which we perhaps don’t have. Better for you ?
  6. And I do think this feel good factor we’ve had for a long time now is a big factor in our rise and we need to sustain it.
  7. I agree with what people are saying but a lot of people told me we were better than Liverpool and we should finish above them. Now they’ve beat us with 10 men at SJP - everyone agrees that they are actually a level above us. But it’s ok. So I do think there’s just blind optimism going around which in truth is probably a good thing. My only concern is blind optimism can easily turn into blind negativity. When people avoid reason and go with whatever vibe they have.
  8. Being a loan from Barcelona softens the bump. He’ll not be around next season if things go well for him. He’ll be back at Barca.
  9. Plays for West Ham. If he was on the bench for Man U he would be in.
  10. I’m certain it’s to tie up his nationality. He’s still eligible for Ghana.
  11. Even dumber. Johnstone is about to get dropped for Henderson in goal. Pope will hopefully have a great CL campaign. Pope will be back in. It’s not even good long term planning.
  12. I agree with this but you need to send messages to players with your selection. like if you don’t play for your club at all - you might get dropped. Or if you perform for U21 and continue it in the PL you have a good chance of making it. There’s only 1 competitive game here, you can drop a couple just to send that message. Just sends the message that his squad is set for next year. Phillips can spend another year on the bench.
  13. You at least need to encourage Phillips and Maguire to get a move by dropping them now. Bring them back if it fails but at least try. Seems Pope and Sterling are being phased out. But Henderson is still around.
  14. I don’t agree with that to be honest. You pick on quality and ability to perform. But someone like Kalvin Phillips shouldn’t get a call-up. You should drop Maguire just to encourage him to move and get regular football. Even Henderson is a bad pick. He’s 30+ and doesn’t even start for England. Let him go - give it to someone that actually plays. Give it MGW or someone. Southgate just has the core of his squad and only changes it when new players join the old top 6.
  15. It’s to block him out of playing for Ghana I’m sure.
  16. I think it might. Brennan was talismanic along with the other 2. You hope that apart from us - every team 12 and below could go.
  17. The guy saw Anthony Gordon shine. 1 goal, 1 assist in the opening 3 games. New bother let’s pick Eddie Nketiah so he can’t play for Ghana.
  18. Dennis had a purple patch for Watford but was bad. CHO? Barely got a kick at Leverkusen. A massive injury too. Never done it in the PL. Would rather Johnson than both of these.
  19. Sangare choosing the PL money like 95% of the players in the PL.
  20. Southgate is a dickhead
  21. CHO and Dennis you don’t want in a relegation scrap. No heart.
  22. This time they are selling Johnson by the looks of it. He was a key man. They needed some stability this season. MGW, the big handsome striker they got, Johnson. Those 3 and the ability to keep enough clean sheets would’ve kept them up. Lose one. Now I’m not sure.
  23. Man City is the perfect club for him. They indulge him. The fans indulge him. He can’t get that anywhere else apart from NUFC. All the other big clubs have major politics. Pep has his boys in the big rooms. He’ll only leave once he’s bored or wants to take a step back. Barcelona is a political nightmare. You’ll have to deal with a more antagonistic local and national press. Board members with their own motives. And financial restrictions. And they like a marquee signing with big names and big egos. Pep hates that stuff. He hates the politics. He’s basically Emperor of Man City. He’s almost bigger than the club. He’ll never have that at Barca.
  24. I think Amanda and co. will be steady hands. Even someone like Roman Abramovic - he rarely sacked managers mid season. Most managers got to see the season out. Same with City group. I think we’ll be the same. Howe will defo get the whole season. And most likely a chance to go again.
