Agree he deserves punishment just saying I don't think he intended to end his career or anything like some in here.

Looked like he lunged for the ball to me but misjudged his velocity. Bit like a todler.

I think intent was to clear ball but momentum carried him into the planted leg. Not defending the result though, it was nasty.

I'd agree, over zealous debutant who lacks ability to tackle.

  7. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11699/8523938/?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed Sky Sports understand a host of clubs are chasing Harrogate Town goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray, who has been described as 'the next Joe Hart'. The 20-year-old goalkeeper, who was with Leeds United as a youngster, gave up full-time football to concentrate on his studies. With those now complete, MacGillivray is now earning regular plaudits between the sticks for Conference North side Harrogate. Clubs from the Premier League down to League Two are taking a close look at the impressive youngster. Newcastle United, Wolves and Doncaster Rovers are among the clubs understood to have checked on his progress in recent weeks. Harrogate Town youth development officer Garry Plant told Sky Sports that they had not yet received any official offers. "We have not had a formal approach from any club," Plant told Sky Sports. "We have obviously heard about clubs watching him and being interested but we have heard nothing officially." Plant admitted that he believes Harrogate do have a star of the future in their hands. "He is very, very good," Plant said. "I think he is the next Joe Hart." He's been brilliant this season, but can't say hes up to prem standard. He's a great shot stopper, but struggles from crosses. Definitely too good for our league mind.
  8. Minanda! What was the black bloke called who played up front? The pacy one. Cai... something? Edit: Castolo. Beast. I miss PES... Agree, those master league legends!
  9. Worst case scenario with no football was stone football. Used to make the most unpopular kid go in net! Evil. Its true though yorkie, I think its part genetic with regards to footballing ability as 90% of lads play football at every oppertunity for the first 16? Years of their life, and yet don't come close for professional status.

  11. Maybe he thinks the gift of Jesus is worth more than his squiggle?

Scored 2 goals for Japan at the summer games and moved across london to Fulham. Had 2 pretty good seasons at Fulham, before being carted of to West Brom where he became ignored after Megson's departure and had to make do with a loan at Cardiff. A brief tour of Europe (Gala, Frankfurt, Rennes) followed, before returning to Japan, where he still plays for Kawasaki Frontale. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CbHRdnwmAF0/UPIGo2IRBOI/AAAAAAAAAh4/MGXDlx0hl1c/s1600/alpaay.jpg Alpay Ozalan After working his way up through Turkish football (Atlay, Besiktas and Fener) Alpay secured his move to England after impressing at Euro 2000. Here he flourished in the first season, and formed a strong partnership with Olaf Mellberg in the second season. His stock grew, and Villa manager refused to sell, despite the calling of bigger things at Inter Milan. He returned to Villa after the world cup and was sidelined as an unpopular figure. At the start of the 03/04 season he was booooooooo by the Villa fans, and exacerbated their hatred by shushing them when he scored. Dropped and fined, he disappeared from the Villa lineup. In late 2003 he decided to wind up the nations favorite, David Beckham, poking him in the eye and sparking a brawl in the tunnel. Following his international actions he was released by Aston Villa. Despite large interest from Europe Alpay didn't want to wait til the end of the transfer window to sign for a European club, so set off for South Korea. A move to the J League followed, before finishing his career at Koln. Suffering from financial trouble, Swindon sold him to Wolves where he spent 8 seasons at the club. In 2003/2004, his best season, George scored 4 goals in the first three rounds of the FA Cup, including one which knocked out Newcastle United. ( I remember this vividly). Unfortunately injury followed and his career petered out after sustaining injury after injury. He scored 15 goals in 87 games. Search for 'ooo lord George Ndah' on youtube for a display of his talents.
  13. He's got 30-40 years to do what the hell he likes once he retires.
  14. Exactly. He is masquerading as a professional athlete whilst out on the piss and eating junk food. Just shows no commitment. And don't give me shit about footballers needing down time, they get the summer off. Footballer and drink. How many careers need to be fucked up before they'll learn. Look at Michael Johnson for the latest victim. Oh and I don't think Santon would be in this situation, young English footballers seem to crave attention and revel in celebrity culture.
