  1. Hoping for a River v Internacional. Can't stand seeing Tigres there. They're not even a South American team. Also, great stuff from Santa Fe getting three players sent off in the game v Internacional
  2. River absolutely destroyed Cruzeiro away from home in the return leg last night. Cruzeiro had won 1-0 in Argentina, but despite that River came to Brazil and beat them 3-0.
  3. Wouldn't surprise me. Anyone who have dealt with Brazil is going to be caught in this shit.
  4. They're all based in the Americas because all of their information is coming from Chuck Blazer. Is this Chuck Blazer really facing jail despite being a rat?
  5. I'd guess he's already rich and can't be bought?
  6. Yeah, ok. I realize the joke might've been hard to grasp from one line of text. Tell yourself that
  7. Don't think that will happen. Think some of the big guys are going down, hopefully Marin is one of them. Wonder what happens with the others. Owner of Traffic Sports has already pleaded guilty and forfeited $25m dollars, he will forfeit another $126m. So there is definitely been wrong doing up top and many will be charged. I agree that a few known people will take charges, but I seriously doubt this investigation achieves anything more than getting a few individuals to fall on their sword. Do you see FIFA being affected or deterred in any way? Hopefully, obviously I don't think someone like Blatter will fall, but I do expect it to shake it up a little. Let's hope the FBI, can do something, this is what movies are made out of. This is not going to just blow over. DOJ would not be bringing these charges unless it intended on doing some serious damage. Maybe Blatter will survive, but many of his key minions are looking at serious jail time and that alone should be enough to deter FIFA from pulling similar s*** in the future. It's so incredibly satisfying that they've finally run into something they can't bribe or bully their way out of. FIFA may be a big fish, but they're nothing compared to the good 'ol US of A. Nah, they'll just be more careful next time
  8. Did as well. The two halved kit was rooted in tradition; the very first Barça kit was half blue, half crimson: http://www.blaugranas.com/media/galeria/25/2/6/0/8/n_f_c_barcelona_los_aficionados-28062.jpg That half and half during Rivaldo's time at the club is lush. Owned it as a kid.

  11. Or you read it and then posted the same thing to look intelligent…
  12. Every spanish or portuguese speaking person connected to FIFA should be under investigation.
  13. "Sir, Sir! We've recieved intelligence that ISIS are planning a terrorist attack on Haymarket bus station!" "Looka son, I've telt yi once, I've telt yi twice, aal w resources are gannin on bringin' doon the b******s that railedroaded the 2018 bid, Davey B's fuckin' foamin' y'kna"
  14. So basically in like 4, 5 countries then. Not many countries have sporting stadiums that fit the criteria for a World Cup. Think the World Cup should be spread out to promote the sport, but it should also be done to improve societies in places where they are being hosted and not a for the sole purpose of robbing the country of even more. England should definitely have one soon, but the US? Had one 20 years ago, they could wait another 10-20 years. Australia have to be in line as well as someone said. Qatar don't even have enough cities never mind stadia Qatar is a pisstake though, it's ridiculous. Just look at them hosting the Handball World Cup and buying their team basically.

  16. Unless he's been ratting these guys out to save his own ass.
  17. Ings and Austin have really impressed me this season, from the very little I've seen of them. Seem like two very decent players who should start week in week out in this league. Would love to see one of them play for us.
  18. They have just as much of a right to apply as anyone else. However, all things considered it's an absolutely mental decision. The world cup should be built on equality. I can't think of two less equality-focussed nations than Qatar and Russia. Beggars belief how they thought this would all go smoothly. World Cup should be built on honesty and with emphasize on promoting the sport, if people think Qatar and Russia were deserving despite their political problems than fair enough, but that is obviously not the case. If the World Cup would be based on equality than we'd only have very few nations hosting the World Cup year in year out and they'd all be played in Europe. FIFA is a huge organization with so much resource which makes it even sadder to see this type of corruption, as it has the power to change so much in the world because of peoples love to the game. It's shameful really what greed can do to people.
  19. Nah, they're all fucking dinosaurs. Ridiculous.
  20. For now. Think it be impossible to have a re-vote for the 2018 World Cup. But for 2022 there is still time.
  21. ''The Swiss Federal Office of Justice has announced it is now questioning 10 Fifa executives who took part in voting on the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bids. A statement from the Swiss attorney general said criminal proceedings have opened “against persons unknown on suspicion of criminal mismanagement and of money laundering in connection with the allocation of the 2018 and 2022 football World Cups”. From the guardian.com
  22. It's a beginning at the very least.
  23. Wish they'd look into the f***ing mess of 2014 as well. As soon as Brazilian police started investigating FIFA and arresting people during the World Cup, Brazil stopped getting help from the refs and lost to Germany 7-1. Totally connected, of course. It's great that some people only see the seriousness in posts Basically every South and Latin American football official has been arrested, while little Blatter from Switzerland will probably escape any punishment...
  24. Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Thailand, Trinidad, Uruguay are five of the countries then, which one is the last? There were 6 of them right? Actually 14 people, Marin from Brazil being one as well. Get the fuck in. Time to do something about these absolute freaks.
