11 out of 67 in the PL apprently, but who’s counting?
-
Marco Reus out again because of injury apparently. Guy has no luck.
-
And this is why football is so boring. Everyone is supposed to play like a robot and do the exact same thing apparently.
-
I can tell you, I didn’t complain when he had the exact run up against Mexico in the Olympics last summer. That’s the way he takes penalties. Look at how Neymar does it, looks ridiculous and the day he misses it will be villified, but he has scored 500 straight penalties with that run up.
-
Watched the penalty, and was shocked to see he missed it above the bar as loads of other players have done. Reading the forum you’d think he made a spin running towards the ball and then panenka’d it over the stadium.
-
Tite doesn’t call up or even start bad penalty takers. Why Bruno is benched.
-
Feel like Firmino always misses penalties.
-
Derby gk could’ve as well picked up the ball there. Roughly two meters ahead of the line.
-
Clearly both wanted to give drama to the dramatic people in here.
-
Where is everyone watching it? Even more reason to start him, so we can sub him off before penalties.
-
Did Pope just save three penalties? ?
-
French squad announced. Abundance of quality upfront, just like Brazil. But underwhelming midfield. Tchoumeni, Fofana and Rabiot good enough to start for a team wanting to win it all?
-
Not sure what you are disagreeing with. Maybe I should’ve made it clearer, but the team has been picked and Fred has been an integral part of a team that has lost three in the last 50 games. I’m not Fred’s biggest fan, but people mention Big Joe at times as he had the ability of Bruno. Bruno is having a hard time breaking into the starting XI based on performances for the national side (even though I’m sure by game 3 he’ll be starting)
-
Shame, another ridiculous decision to have it in November. Players won’t have time to recover from injuries. Psychologically this has to give Ecuador an edge in that group for the 2nd place.
-
Is that right though? Fred has played far less than Joelinton this season. Don’t think you can compare them unless it’s per 90 minutes. Either way, none of this matters for the national side. Hopefully Joelinton keeps improving and maybe one days gets a call-up. As for this World Cup, absolutely right call to leave him out.
-
You have almost no time creating/implementing a system before a World Cup, even less so in this one. Players that have been part of the squad for longer understands the tactical system better. Say what you want about Brazil, but they play like a club side where the best player doesn’t always start. Fred is the only really limited player In the starting eleven, and while I do feel like he should be benched, I can understand Tite. Fred has done really well at times alongside Casemiro, and unlike at Manchester he isn’t required to do anything offensively other than makings runs.
-
You are right. I mean if they sucked I probably wouldn’t give a damn.
-
I’m as excited as always. It’s all about the product for me. Obviously, ideally it would’ve been hosted in a footballing nation. But then again the US are hosting the next one
-
Bigger chance Tunisia does well than Australi to be fair. Expect them to get at best 1 point from that group.
-
Difficult to say, Bruno is in a team that plays to his strength and has given him the freedom to adapt. While Paqueta is being forced into a Moyes side that has clearly given him difficulties to adapt. Based on their performances previous to coming to the PL than yes Paqueta is the better player. But, Bruno has really adapted ridiculously well for us. Still, for the national side Paqueta has been one of the best players in the past 12-18 months, so he still had the upper hand.
-
My predictions. No fucking way I’m jinxing it for Brazil.
-
You lot are on crack. Imagine if Joelinton of all players was called up as a surprise last minute. However, an injury to Fred in the next fortnight and I can see him being called up. that being said
-
Brazil is a different beast. That being said, Bruno makes far more sense for the knockout stages.
