Raphinha was very good in the first game like. If he was still playing for Leeds and had his confidence he would’ve scored twice at the very least. Barcelona have slaughter his confidence. In addition to that, you couldn’t see it on TV, but he was running a ridiculous amount. The Serbs pushed high with their wingbacks and he had to cover as Danilo played more as a central defender. Vini was let free to remain higher up the pitch. Raphinha has all the quality in the world, only thing lacking is confidence (unlike Rich who is the opposite, not very talented but all the confidence) I agree that Rodrygo doesn’t have a place in this team as of right now. His position in this team is as the #10 when Neymar is out or as one of the wingers off the bench. Great thins is that both Rodrygo and Bruno have a purpose with their game on the pitch. They make great movement and always show for the ball. Antony is great when you are leading as he can keep possession, but he’s not deadly infront of goal and I prefer Martinelli and the others over him in that sense.

I was there and Bruno was definitely not worse. While Bruno got caught with the ball, the thing is he always wants to play a forward pass. Fred doesn’t. Fred will cover more ground, and be an option everywhere, he’s like a really poormans version of Kante. Bruno is different. Don’t think he’ll start more than next game as I think Casemiro - Paqueta behind Rodrygo/Neymar is going to be it for us going forward. Rodrygo is showing signs of becoming the next big thing from Brazil. Vini is more exciting, but Rodrygo really has this star aura on the pitch. He’s everywhere at times offensively, making the team click and really intelligent player.

Hard to break down the Swiss, and didn’t change until Rodrygo came on. What a player.
-
Alisson has made 0 saves in 135minutes of football. Casemiro, Marquinhos and Thiago Silva are solid.
-
shit half by fred. Get rid
-
This is Brunos chance tbf. Had it been Rodrygo it would’ve been worse for Bruno. Bad half by Fred and Bruno could find his way into the starting eleven.
-
Goes both ways, hence, why Bruno should win it.

Not only that. Could potentially avoid Brazil in the quarters as well by finishing 2nd. All their players on yellow will be benched fwiw. Best game live this World Cup for me. Atmosphere much better, although I’m not fully convinced by either side.

Japan were shit last game until the manager made changes. Making early changes here, hoping it pays off.

Money well spent. Zzz....

I want my money and time back. Falling asleep here.

If you see a big Fuck You @Mike sign at the ingurrland v usa game down the corner flag on one side then that’s me.
-
Eder Militao most likely to play on the right. At least against Switzerland. While Rodrygo or Fred to take Neymars place. In the case of Fred, Paqueta to play in the #10 role.
-
Neymar and Danilo out for the rest of the group stages.

Might as well give me a Mexican passport tomorrow. Never going to feel as mexican as I will tomorrow.

Paqueta was really good from minute 25 like. He was lost for the first 25 as Serbia played high pressing and kept more of the ball, but when we settled down he kept the team clicking with intelligent balls and won a lot of duels. Only Brazilian player who didn’t do mich was Rich until he scored twice.
-
In the first half I was livid. Improved in the second half though in all sense. Still, his injuries are all on him though, he keeps inviting tackles.
-
I’ll give y’all a thorough one after I’ve been here a few more days.
-
Eh...games are all being played in the same city.
-
Thiago Silva. Greatest defender I’ve seen live. What a ridiculous player to watch live. Rich keeps his scoring form for the nt, but wanted him to get subbed off at half (luckily im not the manager). He was Invisible except for the goals.

I mean, if you’re footballing knowledge is limited to European football then I can understand your position. It’s probably not until into the 2000s that European football completely became dominant in club football. Taffarel, Dida and Marcos were great goalkeepers who won a lot during their careers. Even Rogerio Ceni was a fantastic goalkeeper. That 2002 set up with Marcos, Dida and Rogerio Ceni is on par with this one. Alisson is probably the standout for me out of the 6 called up for 2002 and the WC now. Ederson is great with his feet, but he doesn’t win many points by himself like Alisson does for Liverpool imo.

Fuck this ref tbh

First half was decent like. 2nd half was shit
