  1. I don't know about this guy but I've had the feeling since KK returned that it was a temporary job until the summer.  It aint based on any facts or evidence just my own gut feel the way KK has been since he came back - it has a really temporary feeling about it.

    Nah ... couldn't see it.

    No room upstairs anyway.

And a guy who's supposed to be a temporary solution won't be given a 3 years contract with a huge salary! Just too hard(or expensive) to get rid of him when needed...

If he's still in the club, i.e moving upstairs, he would just keep his salary, wouldn't he?

I've had that feeling too. Maybe the stories about him "moving upstairs" isnt totally wrong, maybe Ashley convinced him to come and offered to help him with his circus or something like that. I would actually want that, Keegan onboard but maybe not as a manager. Please dont shoot me now..

  3. Anyone see Keane there when he was taken off? Had a right wee tantrum about it.

......... and Gus Poyet said that Keane was only showing disappointment for being subbed so there probably won't be any punishment for his hissy fit.  Not what I've heard.

As for the dud offside decisions, I'm philosophical about it, you win some, you lose some, sh*t happens.  But it's easy to be relaxed about it when we're not chasing a higher league position for anything more than extra prize money.  I shouldn't happen though.  If the same thing happens to Newcastle tonight, there would be a lot more intensive reaction and rightly so, there's a lot more at stake.

Well said. You win some, you lose some.

  4. Aaron Lennon.

    no thanks

Massive improvement on Milner, would add some much needed pace and directness (is that really a word?) to the team. Would be a, potentially, very good signing imo. If the gossip column is right about Ramos listening to offers we could probably get him for £8m or less. Well worth looking into.

Lennon better than Milner my arse! He can run quick......"big whoop wanna fight about it?"

    Lennon positives - Fast

Lennon negatives - Can't pass, can't cross, can't shoot, can't tackle, can't read the game, fancies himself as a gangster, obviously a c**t (likewise Giles Barnes)

You would think they might ask for NZogbia in any sort of deal or else it might be hands off. Would anyone want a swap deal involving those two?

  5. I think there might be a little truth in the rumour about Carrick actually. Keegan said there will be exciting times ahead, talking about the summer and by that players coming in. And leaving for that matter.

    Carrick. Bentley. Garay.  Berbatov?

Carr, Butt, Smith, Viduka, Ameobi, Rozenhal (already out on loan) can leave.

A couple of good, up and coming youngsters to be signed aswell. A cover for Beye and Enrique, Carrick the new holding midfielder along with maybe Emre or Barton in the middle. Garay and Taylor at the centre of defence, and Berbatov alongside Owen or Martins as strikers. Bentley bombing down the right hand side with Nzogbia or Duff on the left flank.

                               Given

    Beye/New RB      Garay/Cacapa        Taylor/Edgar?           Enrique/New LB

                        Carrick/Faye

    Bentley/Milner                                   Barton/Emre               N'Zogbia/Duff

                            Berbatov/Zamblera? Carroll?

                                                        Owen/Martins

    One can dream, right?

  6. If you have played in Malmö your crap...

He won´t score even if he play.

Erm, shut it! Alves was the dominant player in Allsvenskan when he played there. No player (including Källström, Elmander and fucking Rade Prica) has ever been close. Top player. Great person to, had a chat with him once. Good guy.

  7. Afonso Alves is a really good player. Fast, technical, but unfortunately for Boro, I think he's a bit lightweight for the Premiership. He used to play for my hometown club Malmö FF, where he was absolutely outstanding. Great player. But then on the other hand, the Swedish league is said to be the 26th best league in Europe.. Go Sweden..

  8. Gilberto signs for Spurs, Gardner on loan to Everton.

Failed his medical but signed him anyway... it'll all end in tears (and fits of laughter from me).

He didnt fail his medical. We actually managed to knock some money off the transfer fee.

    :iamatwat:

  9. I tried an online trasnlator that said the 130 million was 130m czech Koruna.

According to an online currency covnerter, 1000 czech Koruna = £29, so does that mean the fee is circa £3.8m?

its been quoted at around £3.7m before, so that is probably correct.

  10. I was watching the second half, and to be fair, Arsenal wasn't all that to be honest. Flamini suddenly decided that he knew how to shoot, and scored a screamer. Even his teammates were surprised. And to make it even worse, their third goal was offside on Bendtner when the ball from midfield was played.

But on the other hand... we did nowt, and we desperatly need some flair in our team. P A C E. .. I dont want to go to work tomorrow. Too many gooners there..
