If we are just looking at cup wins yes but getting in to the CL not once but twice is an achievement in itself and probably a far greater one than winning a cup (as sad as that is)

That’s not the full story tho. EH saved us for almost certain relegation and got us in to Champions league 2 seasons out of 3 and won a trophy. So the Fa cup is a bigger season than the carabao? So what?

Nah, a pre season is essentially just a handful of games to get match fit. That’s all it is. High intensity training and a few matches usually not more than 60 mins. It’s been blown up in to something way more than it actually is. He’s now played in 18 games if he’s still not sharp or in form that’s something way beyond not having a preseason. Reminder Tonali missed a full season and the following preseason.

wissa missed preseason and the first 4 months of the season and he looked sharper in 15 mins than Isak has all season. Embarassing continuing to trot out that excuse

It’s not dross tho. They’ve bought very good players they just need to find a way of gelling and making it work. Calling Isak, Wirtz, kerkez and Ekitike dross is absolutely mental they’ll either get it to work or recoup a large part of what they spent anyway. It’s also why these ‘big 6’ clubs rarely fail.
