  1. I agree in the main, but if the situation arises where we have to chose between a legal and PR disaster or a relegation disaster I would expect those in charge to make the right decision and do everything within their power to avoid complete disaster that would follow from relegation. Legally I don't think thanking JFK for his troubles and moving on would be much of an issue. A contract isn't legally valid until agreed by both parties and an offered contract can be withdrawn without severe legal ramifications I would have thought. If it comes down to PR, they need to make their minds up about what would constitute a worse scenario: thanking an inept heart patient for trying and moving on or hanging onto him and risk causing severe, possibly irrepairable damage to said heart patient and the club itself. spot on. give me a pr problem over a relegation one anyday
  2. very sad reading because its 100% accurate. anyone think a heavy defeat tonight might start to make Ashley think? or are we on a lose lose situation
  3. if we get a decent full time manager in (ie someone better than kinnear) I think we will survive. Ashley and Co just dosnt seem to want to give up on Kinnear/Hugton
  4. if we wait for Kinnear we are fucked. Let Kinnear down gently or move him upstair whatever, he cannot be the manager of this club any longer The Hull game is possibly the most important game in a very long time. Good ol Derek better get on the phone to one of those managers banging on his door coz unless we get someone in after the Man Utd game i have no doubt relegation will happen
  5. Why ffs.. We don't owe JFK anything.. im not saying its what i want. But ashley and co seem to want to keep JFK on at all costs
  6. sack wise, move kinnear up stair. Do what ever the fuck they have to to get a manager in who can keep us up
  7. hughton is prob being told what to do by a very ill man. Fuck waiting for kinnear to get back. Get a new manager in now. Only way we will stay up
  8. tomasson and luque for me. Tomasson was superb in pre-season until shearer got injured and who knows how luque would have turned out had he not got that injury so early on. I fear Xisco will be another
  9. happy with a point. tho i feel we probably would have won had it stayed 11 v 11
  10. its never gonna happen. Even talking about it is getting depressing
  11. how many people did you speak to exactly? haha
  12. if you think the club are actually looking for a new manager then you are mad. They have made it pretty clear Kinnear is their main man and will have CH and CC in charge till he is better. its the sad fact that our clubs ambition stretches to who will toe the line and fit in to this crappy system that fits dennis wise. what will probably happen is 1) CH and CC will scrape along till Kinnear is fit again. 2) CH and CC will fail badly and Venables or someone of that ilk will come in till Kinnear is fit again 3) Kinnear just wont be fit enough to take the job and they will find another mug who will toe the line. pessimistic? yes. However nothing, absolutely nothing during Mike Ashley's reign has convinced me otherwse. Anyone getting their hopes up for Sven/Martinez/Scolari/Ketsbaia/Billic/Bruce/Shearer are gonna be disappointed. I hope iam wrong but sadly i feel its very worrying times for NUFC
  13. Unless the manager the club were pining their hopes to told us to wait until the end of the season. great straws your clutching there
  14. I'm upset about the fact that the club just blew off a golden opportunity to give amicably cut ties with Joe Kinnear and appoint a manager that's actually qualified for the job that can save us from relegation in the short term and offer some mid-table stability for a few years. Who the fuck was talking about CL qualification? Instead, they've chosen to take a massive gamble on our Premiership status by leaving us effectively managerless until the end of the season, all because they're desperate to offer a long term contract to a manager who's not only fucking shit, completely insane, and utterly out of his depth, but who also shouldn't be doing the job for his own health's sake. What about that decision makes sense to you? I'd really like to know. spot on
  15. Kinnear WILL be the manager next season once he recovers. Otherwise they would just get a proper replacement in
  16. a replacement isnt coming. Joe will take time off and be manager nxt season. All the signs are there
  17. at lot of people are getting carried away. He was offered a contract. The club will stick with Hughton and Calderwood till joe is better
  18. if he does stay for next season. he wont last long
  19. It's on the record now. Actions please. Extremely good news that the club has gone from £34m a year loss, to £20m then next year £7m. In fact by the time Owen leaves us that loss will be nothing due to his wages gone. Owen will leave this year so thats probably included already
  20. it def sounds like Joe will be here long after this season ends
