  1. I'll be utterly shocked if this is anything more than a PR exercise from the club, making it look like we're willing to spend money.

We'll doubtless sign some retard on deadline day for f*** all though.

    They don't do public relations

  2. Younger, talented players aren't necessarily disruptive.  Some clubs even manage to sign good players who aren't arrogant, abrasive, illiterate juvenile delinquents who enjoy alcohol and casual violence.  There might still be a few out there.

  3. Some of the stick is hilarious. If the guy is given the money to spend then it's hardly his fault if he spends it. And instead of focussing on his bad signings (which everyone has made) look at some of his better ones like Berbatov.

As someone said, 4th is 4th.

    Martin Jol signed Berbatov.

Redknapp is by far the dirtiest smug c*** in the Premier League. Just the right man for Tottenham in that sense.

And as for his transfers, the majority are just a waste of money. The fact that West Ham, Portsmouth and Southampton have all ended up with financial problems (and ultimately relegation) after Redknapp's tenures speaks for itself really. His name is probably the first name in every dodgy agent's phonebook..

..And he's father of Jamie Redknapp.

You just know the tabloids will have something for the front pages if he ever gets the England job.  Conveniently discovered 2 weeks before England begin a tournament.

  4. Winning and entertaining are not mutually exclusive.  It's hard to pull a Stoke or a Big Sam and stay successful while being crap.  Usually you get found out.  But even if it was, I think 38 horrible, dire, almost unwatchable 1-0 victories would be enough to keep people turning up and buying shirts.  Success is entertaining.

  5. I think the 8 people who would rather lose than win are a little unclear on the concept of sport in general.

The whole idea of 'going down fighting' is a stupid myth.  It doesn't happen.  Teams that go down do so because they are crap.  If you can't get to 40 points, then you almost certainly aren't playing well.

The honest, plucky, 'at least we play attractive football' argument is just an irritating excuse for failure.  Yes, you occasionally get a clown like Big Sam, but playing well usually has a strong correlation with winning.

they photoshopped out the frame holding Kings knees together pretty well there

Likely relegation battle aside, I can't wait to get back to beating them next season.   O0

  8. Ok. 3 absolute dickheads watched this on ITV. Let's go kill their young.

Voted ITV in lieu of Univision.

Showing a pretty good Shakira/tournament highlights video while ABC have hastily changed to paid programming 2 minutes after Casillas lifts the trophy.
