  1. For every pound you lose, you pay an additional pound to an escrow to guarantee the debt. Then the club isn't saddled with debt and if the club is bought, all debts are nulled by the escrow.

Now, if you don't pay the additional pounds to escrow to match the losses, that's when punishments/sanctions happen.

  2. Arsenal Mania spent their whole match thread saying he'd walk into their team in more than one position, but the savvy ones acknowledge that even they can't afford him. It's not just us lads who thinks he's special.

  3. He must have a lot of positional sense off the ball that we don't get to see so much from the TV. He's doing something right, proper team player.

When he plays on the left he looks to cut into space through the middle, and so you don't tend to see him burn people down the sides. It's a plus of him on the right, that he will be in position more to burn defenders on the outside.

Very good point. I did make a post a week or two ago about seeing more of him on the right and Barnes on the left, seemed obvious, glad early signs are it's showing promise.

He did, he was behind him and physically getting held off and then he just ran round him and took the ball. Was ridiculous

I've always been told he's meant to be fast, but I don't think I've seen him really use his pace until then. Teams must set up to counter him by playing a bit deeper to negate his pace, and Spurs didn't and we got see him in full flow. Which was nice.

For arguements sake, with no incomings or outgoings next year:

    PL:

                         Pope

    Trippier    Schar    Botman   Tino

                        Bruno

           Tonali                Joelinton

    Gordon                             Barnes

                          Isak

    Europe:

                       Dubravka

    Krafth     Lascelles    Burn    Hall

                          Miley

            Longstaff         Willock

    Minteh                               Anderson

                         Wilson

Obviously I'm aware there will be players in and players out and also that you don't have to change an entirely 11 from one game to the next. But that European front 6 is decent but it highlights needing defenders.

That's how I play FM, 2 players for every position and a couple of swing players like Murphy, always works for me !

Why can't he run much anymore! He always looks knackerd but better today.

Playing through at least one injury for a while now.

  8. A few years training with Ibra at national level and being taught that footballing confidence and arrogance on the pitch is a strength would have done him no harm at all

It’s more his valuation in the game that interests me.  I think he’s almost priced out of the current market - there isn’t a centre forward in world football who does what he does and has age absolutely on his side.  The links to Arsenal and Spurs of late are absolutely laughable.  IF the lad leaves, it will be to a Real Madrid, not fucking Arsenal.

I take your point but he seems more of a Barca player to me, but they're skint nowadays.

Some stat. Could keep him on corners now and then even when Trippier is back. They were quality today. Helped by Viccario being rooted to his line.

He is absolutely relentless. What a buy.

Aye his corner delivery was a world above Trippier's today tbh.

When you compare how he is performing compared to other wingers in the 14 leagues outside the top 5 it's absolutely ridiculous, mind. He excels at pretty much everything (he's even 99th percentile for tackles won in a team that averages 61.6% possession ffs ); with his weakness being that he gives the ball away a lot.

    That's incredible.

The Schar and Botman partnership was unreal just after the takeover.

Think he was always meant to be a rotation option at centre back, however Targett being a crock, and missing out on left back targets meant he ended up at left back.

With Botman being out so long, going to be very useful having him back at CB.

Tbh, the best bit about having him fill in at centre back, is he's not playing full back.
