  1. Are you kidding? You reckon this is anything other than market research? Aye, but what do you with the results of market research when you get them? Target the people who gave their details to sell them stuff. Sometimes, I'll give you that. But when you ask about things like customer service and website usability it's usually because you're planning to improve them. The club already have the contact details of 1000s of supporters anyway I imagine. Certainly of everyone who's registered at the website, which includes the likes of me even though I only ever look at it once in a blue moon as it's crap. As people have noted, it's a ridiculous survey and looks very badly designed. Questions about the media are undoubtedly aimed to find out who reads/watches what and why, for the purposes of more efficiently targeting advertising, press relations initiatives and so on. Questions related to merchandising and retail are obviously aimed at improving merchandising and retail. Not particularly inspiring but hardly some kind of sinister conspiracy to defraud the hapless supporter. But ill advised given our current plight, yeah? Why "ill advised"? You think it would be better for the club if their merchandising and retail brought in less money?

  3. So market research is nothing but a cunning ploy to get hold of people's contact details?
  4. He's suing the club for £9 million. Face it. It's got fuck all to do with me trying to "paint" anything. It is a fact. My apologies if it's inconvenient for your belief system. Hey, are any of you guys interested in this beautiful Tyne Bridge I have for sale?
  5. Yes, but that was because there was actual evidence that this happened i.e. we saw it happening, live, on tv. Except for newspaper reports, which are unreliable, at best, what is the evidence for this £9m claim? You saw it on TV? Well, that's the same old "media", isn't it? Probably just a bunch of actors dressed up in Man U and Fulham kit. Meanwhile, the amount KK is after will have been filed with the relevant tribunal when he launched his action, and announced to the press at the same time. Can anyone find one single article where the £9 million figure is in dispute? Of course you can't. Do you think an erroneous or invented figure will have been reported absolutely everywhere without anyone from the Keegan camp correcting the mistake? Well, I guess you Keegan fans will believe anything, as long as it doesn't cast The Messiah in a bad light. This is like debating evolution with a bunch of evangelical Christians. "God just put those dinosaur bones in the ground to test our faith!"
  6. There were a number of stories reporting that Man U beat Fulham yesterday. I suppose that was just speculation, too.
  7. It's a matter of public record. Keegan has filed a claim for £9 million. Fact. An extremely widely reported one. Your attempt to talk it away is, quite frankly, ludicrous.
  8. You all think you know exactly what happened regarding Keegan's departure, despite there being no actual facts in the public domain at all other than that he left the club. But a fact reported in literally hundreds of newspapers -- the amount Keegan is claiming in his lawsuit against the club -- isn't good enough for you?
  9. The last two posts of yours I've read have probably been the most pathetic attempts to garner bites I've seen on this site. There's a lot of competition out there, but congratulations, you've nailed it. Well, I'm so f***ing sorry, but I haven't read a single argument about the nature of his departure -- of his choice to depart -- that comes within a light year of justifying a £9 million payout. I do realise he's a sacred cow, and that any criticism of him at all will be regarded by many as trolling, but that is my honest opinion. Is there any clarification anywhere of there being a £9m payout? I haven't seen any. That's what he's sueing the club for. Matter of public record. other than press speculation, can you tell us where you get this info from? A Google new search for "Keegan tribunal £9 million" turns up 240 news stories. http://news.google.co.uk/news?pz=1&ned=uk&hl=en&q=keegan+tribunal+£9+million If you don't believe the literally hundreds of press reports, what would you believe? A stone tablet handed down from the Messiah?
  10. It all boils down ironically to the thing many are criticising KK of being - selfish. We selfishly expect an unhappy man to stick to his job just for us. We expect him to get on with people just for us. We expect him to forsake money just for us. We expect players to stay here for life just for us. We expect the owner to pump in his own money out of his own pocket just for us. We expect him to just f*** off and sell up even at a loss just for us. We expect him to pick KK over Wise just for us. We expect Wise to f*** off just for us. We expect too much of other people who I'll let you into a little secret do not and never will see things as we do where our club is concerned, be it KK or Shay Given, Ashley or Wise. Poor us more like... I agree with you completely, as it goes.

It going to the court because of constructive dismissial whereby people above him made his job extremely difficult to do - in a deliberate attempt to get him to quit. Which he did! as couldn't handle it anymore.. especially after promising the fans a replacement for Milner - which a penny hasn't even arrived yet! Probably was super stressful being undermined like that. Well, I'm sure that £9 million will help the poor fellow relax after his terrible ordeal. He didn't deserve be treated like that, he couldn't do his job. A sacked manager gets compensation out of his contract, a manager forced out must be due similiar.. i don't think you understand that he was being deliberately forced out. No, I don't understand that. In fact, I think the idea is completely daft. Do you honestly believe that Ashley appointed Keegan in January only to purposely engineer his departure in September? Why on earth do you believe such a thing? It's just as daft as suggesting Keegan only accepted the job with the intent to make a few bob, which some have done. Works both ways. So financial reward was no part of Keegan's motivation? I honestly think he would not have come back had Soccer Circus been doing well and raking it in. His heart never seemed completely in it, this time around. All of which, though, has absolutely zero bearing on a discussion of whether Ashley deliberately engineered his departure.

  16. Aye, and trying to explain the offside rule!
  17. Poor, poor Kevin. It must have been earth-shattering to have to work with Dennis Wise and not have enough money to buy Lionel Messi. Let's give him £9 million to compensate for all that terrible suffering.
  18. Loves the club? Then what's he doing having "a good relationship" with Dennis Wise? Doesn't he know that Dennis is the Evil Cockney Prince of Darkness who is responsible for all NUFC's current ills?
  19. Richard Williams in the Grauniad: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2009/mar/03/premier-league-european-football
  20. I still blame them both, and the fans who went nuclear.
  21. We unquestionably would have had a better season if he had stayed in his job.
