Podolski off, misused player, lots of potential
and how he should have been used?
-
Totally this.Thauvin has rejected us numerous times. How many times more before they get the message?
At least go after targets who might be interested in moving to us rather than spending months on those that don't.
They need to realise that other clubs don't operate like us. Just because a club receives an offer, it doesn't mean they will rush to get the player out of the door regardless of whether he wants to leave or not.
It's the usual "we did try" strategy...I am pretty sure that they don't want to buy anyone

A bunch of our media claiming Turan is on the verge of signing for us
and what's the problem with it?
-
Balotelli rumours popping up in the media now.
it is getting better anyday. This club man! :-(
-
Today will be the day that McClaren will start to realise what he's let himself in for.

This whole 'he's not built for the Premier League' line is constantly peddled by morons and has-been former 80s era players.
Go and tell David Silva, Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Gianfranco Zola, Bojan, Christian Eriksen etc etc. that they're not built for the Premier League you ignorant pricks.
A bit of decent coaching and management will see Cabella come good.
I agree.
I'm just not sure he's good enough.
same here unfortunately

She said last night Cabaye "wants" to go to Crystal Palace.
According to his own comments a few weeks back it seems he does
What a fucking idiot if true

Newcastle make a €17m offer for Aymen Abdennour, according to @footmercato. Player already rejected their advances, NUFC make bid anyway.

I like their thinking. Look how hard we tried! We offered £13m for a player, it's not our fault he said no. Say hello to Richard Keogh.
that's exactly the way I see it :-(

Superb player. So no chance unfortunately

I'd rather listen to the manager of Wolfsburg than some wannabe "ITK" on twitter.¨
And why? It is clear that the manager is supposed to say such things (only Pardew touted his players around over the media). The same happened with Cabella and the Montpellier chairman.
Having said that I also don't believe in Twitter ITKs :-)

He looks like an Albanian rapist.
Fucking hell!
-
What isn't funny about that?
I mean who doesn't enjoy a good look alike
You are not serious, right? Anyway it doesn't make sense to discuss if someone's too ignorant

Also, Dembub Ba

not funny at all :-(

Remy can take a running jump off Earth's highest peak IMO.
-
as ridiculous as ever!
-
from Austin and Berahino to Dunk and Sakho...impressive! I am already wondering where all this will end. We've seen it all before, didn't we?
-
Quite funny how after moaning about not having any input on our transfer policy he's chasing after players brought in under said policy.
-
That's Carvers excuse sorted then. "Their week off meant they were fresher than us and they played with more energy. My lads were tired after staying up till 3am watching the wrestling".
:-)
-
You can say Pardew and Bruce "ruined" him, those damn English dinosaurs, but in reality Gerets, Perrin, Houllier and Deschamps did the same thing in France.
Fact if, if 6 managers (I'm using the term lightly with Pards and Bruce) thought he wasn't worth their time, then maybe they are right.
Would you please shut up, Bolton Boy
-
If he was still here, he'd have stopped putting in any effort by Christmas and you know it!
So like the rest of the team, aye?
Pretty much. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, if he was still here, it would make literally no difference to our league position.
You honestly don't think he could have won us a game in this wretched run we have?
Probably not. If everyone else doesn't give a monkey's then I don't get why the master of not giving a monkey's would be any different. Especially if his time at Hull is anything to go by. Also find it bizarre that people would think players like Marveaux would have saved us...
Even though players like Marveaux did last time?
How did he save us last time?
Well his clever assist in the 94th minute against Stoke won us two points, which is what we're currently short of safety. He also set up the only goal late on against QPR at home, there's two more. He set up more goals than anyone else that season.
I said players like him of course, Ben Arfa's contribution was also massive relative to the rest.
Ah, I knew someone would mention that Marveaux provided most assists for us that season. There were 5. That's not to be sniffed at, but it's less of a contribution than many current squad members have made this season. Most players will score or set up a couple of big goals a season...
We're two points short of safety. Ben Arfa had won us two extra points on his own by the time the first game of that season had finished. Another penalty that he won himself, which you don't seem to count.
Word!

Let's be honest...HBA is god-like! ;-)
-
Not going to even argue the point with this guy. HBA single-handedly won us games. We haven't had a player like him since he was f***ed off. No substitute for passion, though, eh?
fully agreed. Well said.
-
Just like last time we were in this position and he never turned up. Apart from the crucial equaliser at Loftus Road.
If a penalty against a dreadful team is the best example of him 'turning up', then I rest my case.
Better than anyone managed last weekend against an equally s**** QPR team.
Seriously, what kind of cocksnogger can't see that even a half-arsed HBA would bring 200% more to the team than f***ing slopers like Gouffran, Sameobi or Obertan?
Well done.
Come on. This forum has always had an unhealthy obsession with the lad. I admit he scored some excellent goals for us, but was mostly a frustrating hindrance with a bad attitude at every club he's been to. If Colback contributed as much to the club in 13/14 as he did you'd slaughter him. And before anyone starts, don't come out with some rubbish about how I like 'cloggers' and hate flair players. I just don't think Ben Arfa is worth having in the squad (and there are plenty of managers who agree with me).
Oh and a lot of you seem really impressed with his penalty against a team even Riviere scored against...
Totally disagree (but I do agree with the cocksnogger thing :-)). A lot of people here seem to rate Cabella and he's not even half the player HBA is/was.

Jemez please. Or Zeman :-)

Fucking Hell there are still some people defending Pardew? Probably the same that said that we should trust Mike Ashley
