  1. Funny how Nolan's weight issues were never a problem.

Yep - I would say that Nolan was a fair bit more overweight than HBA.

I'd also say that Nolan's weight issues were often discussed and criticised on here.

That's not my point - my point is whether Nolan was fined by the club for it and it was used as a reason not to pick him.  The answer to that is that it wasn't.

That was my point as well.  It never seemed to be an issue with the club although the fans regularly discussed it (as do West Ham fans).

Nolan, as much as I was never much of a fan, has a much bigger frame naturally than Hatem. He was captain, leading goalscorer for most of his time here and basically ran the first team prior to Pardew coming in.

And? The point was always another and everyone got it except you...but I know, you like to be different! :-)

  2. Most expensive signing in the Ashley era if goes through btw. We must really rate him his chances of increasing in value.

absolutely agree...don't know if i had to laugh or cry. What a fuckin mess!

  3. Pards doesn't want Ben Arfa but Cabella. It makes absolutely no sense. Just take a look at what he did to Tevez/Mascherano sends a shiver down my spine! f*** hate Pardew with do much passion. He sucked out every joy. What a w*****!

  4. Ruin him? His poor stats and frequency in the starting line-up was the same in Marseille as it has been here.  Get your boner down.

wtf? you've got no clue if you ask me

  5. I found it pretty funny/pitiful when he mentioned next week's game at Hull saying "we might not win at Hull, but we'll give 100% hard work and effort". Or words to that effect  :fool:

"...we might lose even if we do everything right" :-)

  6. Why the heck does he always have to mention that it is going to be hard to hold onto Remy? We already know, Alan

    'Alan, what's the weather like?'

'Mild and err... We might have trouble holding on to Remy and Tiote if the right bid comes in.'

    :-)

  7. Come on, let's be fair, the majority of the second half we dominated the game and could've had a couple.

The first half on the other hand was pretty damned depressing. I'm just pleased they showed a bit of passion and commitment and it did get the crowd going in the second half. The crowd definitely had a say in that win imo, encouraging if not demanding the team push forward. I know I certainly celebrated the goal like a wildman. That's what footballs all about.

didn't say that we did in this game...but to me it seems that only results matter to people. Not saying that this wrong but trying to explain that there are different point of views. None of the is the ultimate one

  8. Most of the criticism is completely separate from league position TBF, which is fair enough I suppose.

Yeah but if we are doing well in the league and you get a last minute winner and only a give a 'meh', you are hardly happy with the way things are going in the league. Results went our way this weekend with Everton and Southampton both dropping points and i think it's only natural to want to finish higher than them even if it doesn't make a huge difference.

    Absolutely clueless .

If you can't get yourself excited and jubilant over a last minute goal, you should look elsewhere for your entertainment. Doesn't matter if you are bottom of the league in the conference or 9th in the premier league or even playing Sunday league football, a 90th minute winner is simply euphoric.

but I think everyone got your message. You're alright with playing bad for 88 mins with the goal in the dying minutes...I am not.

There are people who want to be entertained when watching football...others just look at the table and stats (Pardew-like)
