With Mitchell in place I'm confidence Almerion is gone. Without him, not so much.

I really dont think you have to state everything. But he have definitley played his part. But everything has a end. And that is now for him at the club.

Feeling for Gordon, but good for us. Not only because whats already been said, but also because we wont have a summer of media pushing for a sale to Pool and Manure etc after a granted strong tournament (he´s just perfect for that left wing position).

I agree. Feels much better now that we have an experienced top person in place. Not only because we may start to buy outside PL too... but also because we will make some good sales.

Hate the summers. When is the pre season starting? I really hope the club can up their media content, especially during the summer. I can pay to see the beep test! or Ruddy flex at the bench press.

Still no interview with Mitchell? No pictures either. Is all a dream? Or is he just busy

Definitely.

We need to become more cynical than before and that makes the hiring of Mitchell feel very good. An outsider who can be a bit ruthless.

If I could have a input I would say that having a starting eleven that are elite and then fill the squad with more up and coming players, is the way. As soon as the starting players are starting to drop in quality sell. As said, Almiron, Wilson and Trippier is not going to be starting players and cost a lot. Sell them.

With Moyes out they will be better. In hindgsight I think its good that we missed out on Europe. We badly need CL or EL next season and it will be tight at the top. My bet is that Spurs and Villa will drop. Then with all the mess, we can take Man Utd and Chelsea. So we should be able to get 4-5. To be honest I´m not sure top 6 would be good enought for Howe?

When we get CL next season none of this will matter. Every player would like to come to us!

I think Man Utd could have done us a huge favour.  We had ashworth for near a couple years where he could do his overal shaping of the structure.  Carrying in we’d see demonising returns from that.  Get paid 10 million for him. Now get someone who can be far more hands on with the recruitment.  
 

Maybe in a different world we could have had both of them but given he didn’t end up at Man Utd maybe Mitchell would not have come for that role.

Think everything has been said. But one part I espacially liked when reading about this was that he seems to have been working behind the scens a bit already. It will be very intresting if this more "hands on" approch will give us a different type of targets. because I think we have looked a little bit to much in the PL.

I´m not saying that he´s not good. But dont think he´s elite and that cost us. If we want to take the next step we need another one. But if we can get at RW and he can give us one more year, then great.

Agree, we would benifit a lot from having a new keeper with those attributes. We need to get away from defending deep a big portion of the time. That cost us a lot.
