  1. Steven Taylor being his usual thick self and fouling needlessly when the opposition are under a bit of pressure.
  2. Whenever I've seen Villa this season, they've looked like a trademark O'Neill team - i.e, long ball + hard work. Just with slightly better players than he's had previously. Still, the amount of times they punt it long is pretty ridiculous for a side that supposedly plays decent football. I'm jealous of their success, but not of the way they're achieving it.
  3. Keita sent off for Barcelona. Ridiculous decision by a referee who has completely lost control of the game. Yet another 5 minute delay as all the players surround him and argue with him.
  4. Players have been arguing with the ref for nearly 4 minutes after Messi was brought down. Pansy ref.
  5. Carew on. Villa to now do what they do best - lump it up to him.
  6. Cacapa played two or three games in midfield iirc, and was suprisingly decent in all of them. Smith has had a few decent games in midfield too, although he's more of a liability in terms of giving away cheap free kicks outside our penalty box.
  7. That's why football is called the beautiful game. What a move by Milan.
  8. Mediterranean diet + weather + lifestyle? = highest life expectancy in Europe, etc etc.
  9. Zanetti is 35 year olds and is still making surging runs from deep. What a player.
  10. He's been consistently shit in the big games since 99/00.
  11. Pato sure does beat alot of players without using any real trickery or pace.
  12. I blame the Watford player who headed the ball away from his own teammate and gave away a corner that led to the goal - he should never, ever smile like that, it was just asking to be punished.
  13. Good finish from Anelka. And again.
  14. Bit lucky to go in imo, although at least he had the balls/composure to go for the dink over the keeper.

    Spain vs England

The best out and out striker in the world is David Villa. He has everything: clnical finishing, good pace, great skills, intelligence, technique, selfnessness, flair, fantastic vision, passing, strength, good shooting and for a small guy he can header, plus he can take brilliant set pieces. Very under-rated imo as he's been consistently scoring tons of goals for the last 5 seasons, there is only one better player in the world and that is Messi. Nail head If Villa went to Real they may actually challenge barca, but I dont think he would. Villa for TOOOON Just checked 17 goals in 20 games in la liga.... Imagine if he went to Barcelona. Villa, Messi, Eto'o, Iniesta, Xavi all in the same team. Stuff of dreams.

    Spain vs England

Yeah, cause they'll keep the ball on the ground with quick passes. No Gerrard hollywood balls tonight. England have dominated Spain for periods. And that's becuase the team Capello has put out has 11 players who to a man are decent to good at what their position is meant to provide for that level. Central midfielders who pass well and intelligently, wingers with pace and the ability to dribble with the ball, strikers with either strength or movement/pace, mobile fullbacks, etc. None of this "oh lets play Gerraarrrrrrrrdddd and Lampard in central midfield because they score 15-20 goals a season", or "lets start Beckham every game because he can hit wonderful 600 yard diagonal crossfield and/or cross-stadium balls".

Like the look of Barry and Carrick in central midfield.
  18. Rossi looking like the Rossi that played for us.
  19. They're struggling without Fabregas. Wenger has said that Arshavin is not fit, having not played since December 13 or something.
  20. Why does Pavlyuchenko not get dropepd? He has the technique to attempt difficult shots and volleys, which is good, but most of his shots end up floating towards the roof of the stand, which isn't good.
  21. McAllister is right there regarding the disallowed goal. That was a push from Eboue on Woodgate, maybe a small one but enough to push him over Adebayor's legs. Good decision from Dean.
  22. If Spurs lose this, their confidence could plummet even further, which would be great for us.
