I've had a season ticket in both areas and I don't agree. The atmosphere is much better this season. The amount of singers/standers has doubled and the song variety is a lot better. The only thing missing is banter with the away fans, as they now leave empty blocks between our fans and the away end unless the away fans take the full allocation.

Arsenal have fucking shit fans, and look at them.

You in row U mate, seat 340 to be exact?

I think there was 2 'Cockney mafia out' banners and one 'Ashley - Wise out' banner.

You sure? Most booing seemed to come from the Gallowgate. I saw one person boo N'Zogbia, which sparked off an arguement between him and others around him. I sit in the Leazes Corner, btw.

Its no contest man, Sunderland game every time. Sod the price, the replay will be half empty and half arsed. Can someone give us some sort of clarification on this at all? They are usually £15 ain't they? Adult seats, obviously... Aye it'll probably be £15. But there's still no contest.

Maybe said fans should support their local team, then?

^^ This. Its actually quite disheartening when the rest of the ground cant be arsed and your belting out songs at the top of your voice. I understand what you are saying but the song "stand up, in the leazes end" is s***. What are the people in the Leazes end supposed to do?, stand up and sing the same song to stand up for no apparent reason? Of course no one joined in. Stand up, be counted, show your support for the team, join in with a chant. Whatever. 5k or so people saw sence in standing and singing the song. If the whole of the Leazes stood for that chant, then another chant followed, the place would be rocking.

Heard the rest of the ground sing about twice, and even then it was only the back of the gallowgate. Stand up in the leazes end was belted out twice, and I saw 1, just 1 person stand up in the lower leazes. Nobody ever joins in. I didn't hear the Stoke fans once untill the end.

In what way? A lot of them are mini-hitlers. Give them a red jacket and watch them think they are above reproach! Like how. What were they doing? Causing a big fuss over nothing. There was absolutely nowt the matter until they showed up and it kinda got a bit rowdy. Nothing Yeah, nothing. People chanting whilst watching a game of football. Massive crime. That was it? Don't believe that for a second No, they were also performing the heinous crime of standing infront of a plastic seat. How dare they do such a thing? So the stewards were doing their job then in trying to get them to sit down & not breach the terms of their season tickets Not really, they left the 3k or so fans standing and targeted an empty general sale block full of kids. People have been breaching these 'rules' all season. Anyone with common sence will tell you these 'safety' stewards just make things worse. So they were doing their job? If their job is getting in the way of people at a football match, then yes, they are doing a sterling job.

Absolute bunch of arseholes. 20 people trying to force bully tactics onto thousands of people will never work. They were searching people coming though the turnstiles, they even took my bottle of pop off me to see if it was open, the steward seemed disappointed that it wasn't.

Hull - 'Mauled by the tigers'.

Standing makes for a much better atmosphere. I'd rather be with 1,000 standing fans than 3,000 that are sat down.
-
Sunderland took 5,500 to Blackburn. Full allocation is around 7/8k. Pathetic following.

Jesus wept!!! you talk s****. we`ve sold out every away game bar one this season (except numbers) you got this right. so what makes you think the noise levels or songs are lower\worse than other clubs? Because you all sit and sing about Newcastle. Proper away fans stand and sing about their team. Bullshit!!! how many of Sunderland`s away games have you been too?? About 10-15 a season. you'll have to explain yourself Yes I think he will http://scienceblogs.com/gregladen/orly.jpeg
