I just thought I'd share this piece with you. Everybody knows there's something a little bit different about Newcastle United, we were arguably the biggest club in England before the Munich Air Crash and Shankly, certainly the best supported and this piece tells you how close we were to doing the double several times, and offers an insight in to the baffling mystery as to why it's just not happened for us in half a century. I just hope in 80 years time, a similar journalist isn't writing a similar article. If you're from around here, no other club matters, no-one cares, and that's honest, from an outside point of view we can seem blinkered and maybe we are, everything revolves around the toon and nothing else matters. Genuinely I think the club is cursed, best supported club in the UK 20 times out of 106 year, only club to break the world transfer record in the last 25 years, third most spent of all English clubs since 1992, Consistently in the 12 richest clubs in the world over a 10 year period, and once as high as fifth - all of this points to the fact that in the last 20 years we should have won maybe 20 trophies, but no NONE. The Gallowgate End of the ground used to be a place 150 years ago where gypsy's were hung, and there was a mayth that some big gypsy fucka put a curse on the land, it would make sense if they did. They actually got a priest in to do an exorcism in the 70's F*** all good he done.

It's childish and pathetic - very much like the way our once 1st class away support is going. Agree, it's the young charva element of our support. The have a wank if ye love the toon brigade.

The north east is brilliant tbh. Streets paved with gold. Nearly as good as that London. The North East is shite south of the tyne if that offends people I apologise but it's my opinion. North og the Tyne across to Hexham and up to the border, is for my money by distance the nicest place on these islands. However even if you class Teesside as the NE,the whole package pisses on the NW, for Durham see Bolton, for Amble see Blackpool, for Newcastle see Manchester, no comparison, and I for one have always felt sorry for the 9m poor C***s who have to live in the NW. Shite accents all round as well. Whats North shields compared to Bootle

As a scouser now ling i north shields, that post makes me laugh, id never be able to afford to move back to Liverpool now, if i wanted. As for the police thread above, i honestly do think the police and stewarts at Newcastle are the strictest in the country. Have been countless times when people have been thrown out for nothing, and the time near christmas when we drew 2-2 thanks to 2 owen goals, i got threw out myself for standing up, no warnings just out, wouldnt mind but i was on the back row, with just the wall behind me. Granted North Shields is no Beverley Hills, but it comares favourably with places I've been in Liverpool, honestly I wouldn't let rats live in some of the places I've seen. That road in to Anfield off the motorway, oh dear, it always makes me think we should have a national fund raising campaign for scousers. As for your assertion that Liverpool property prices are significantly higher than Newcastle's The average house price in Liverpool is £132,397, in Newcastle it's £169,728. Obviously the standard of living is lower on Merseyside, but as a consequence it's much cheaper to live over in Liverpool too. No one wants to live in Liverpool really, since the end of the last century the cities population has decreased by over 50%, and could be part of a valid reason, for the many Liverpool glory hunters throughout the nation through the diaspora.

That's arguably the most pathetic headline I've seen in my life. They mus have shit ejournalists in Hampshire. The best headline I've seen was from about 1994, when Uwe Fuchs was playing for the Boro. His surname was pronounced fuxx. Headline (well not headline 3 pages inside it was only fuckin Boro) in the Northern Echo (I only seen it cos I was going to London and it was in the newsagents at the toon station, and know that paper is written by mackems), after missing a last minute penalty in a 0-0 draw at Ayresome Park.........UWE FUCHS IT UP...........what an absolutely quality headline, never bettered by any I've seen since, and certainly not by "15,000 Volz stunner for the Blues" "

he f***ing is mind. I'm not banned apparently, funny that, seeing as I can't post anything total f***ing waste of space The guy is a fuckin wank, and believe this if you want but I know for a fact it's true, the admin on TOTT is a fuckin toon based Liverpool fan. He banned me for branding them murderers, amongst other things according to him. All I did was tell the truth about him, and a few others, who's pathetic netbird he was madly in love with "toongirl" was in fact a bloke from Teesside.
-
Could someone just ask the question on Talk Of The Tyne for me, "anyone know where the toon game might be on in London", I'd do it myself but I'm banned because the admin guys a total prick. Cheers in advance

Well that's areet, Barbican's Central London, just doon from King's Cross, I'll ring them when Smudger comes on.
-
Can you be more specific Jon, there must be 100 Barley Mow's in London. I don't really want to go to North London, certainly no further north than Islington, but I will if I know it's definitely on.
-
This is highly unlikely I know, but do any of you know any pubs in East, South London or Central London who have the toon game on against Bolton tomorrow. It's a family occasion I'm going down for, give the nephew presents etc.. but fuck family till the match is finished. So can anyone help?

Well i actually havent been comming on the internet as long as you (hence me actually having a life), but never have i come across such a disgraceful compulsive liar such as yourself. The way you ALWAYS have to make things up to suit your side of the argument is really quite sad. I like this forum and i do actually like some of the posters on here (Baggio and Dave to name a few) but you just seem to be some sort of bitter twisted loser imo (which is backed up by the fact that you chose a picture of English hooligans throwing chairs as you avi). The way you react to me also leads me to believe your either very young or just a balding, immature grump. Where have I lied? You fuck up threads all the time, good interesting posts then you come on, and ye think to yesel "fucksake". You actually depress me, and stop arselicking Baggio and Dave for support. If you had anything to say I'd respect you, you type but you say fuck all.
-
Honest kingdawson, I'll tell you something sincerely here. I've had the internet since 1999, the year we put you out of the FA Cup twice coincidentally, and never have I come across such a boring cunt as you are. If you're not pulling people up for typing errors, you're genuinely talking shite about something else. I was hoping you were a WUM cos it's not right for people to be as dense as you in 2006, but you're not even a WUM ye just a mug. I've got nothing against opposing fans on here, when they have something interesting to contribute, like Dr Spectrum regularly, Rafa, 1878 etc... but I don't think it's any great surprise that you support the team who have always had the biggest wanks on this board.

Spurs getting a draw at home to us is a scalp for them as far as I'm concerned. For fucksake the bare minimum I EXPECT from Spurs is a 1 goal win. They've won here twice in over 20 year, yet it's a scalp for us?!?! Daft cunts.

Best creative player I've seen at St James' without a doubt, Dennis Bergkamp, not just for THAT goal, but he was a joy to watch, I think he played here 6 or 7 times and he always impressed me. Rivaldo, Figo and Luis Enrique were class for Barca here in the second half, but Dennis did it on numerous occasions. Best English opposing player without a doubt Trevor Steven, for his performance when Everton dicked us 0-4 here about 86 or 87, he was out of this world. Best defensive performance and I know Les had a few chances, but I thought Steve Bruce, and a 19 year old Gary Neville at centre half were absolutely outstanding when they beat us 0-1.
-
We've scored 2 or more in 3 of our last 4 league games so don't see why we can't against Spurs. Their defence is woeful. nm ya wank depressin wank honestly if we ever ein the cup a hope ye minibus crashed on th wy doon

I'm astonished no one has Paul Scholes in their lists, for me he is right in the running for Player of the Year, ask any Man Utd fan who's been their best player this season. For me Juuskalainen - save of any season v Villa at weekend Gary Neville Vidic - Has proved me wrong Ricardo Carvalho - with a nations media lodged so far up Terry's arse it's nauseating, Carvalho is often overlooked, and for my money he reads the game better and is a better tackler than JT and is an absolutely key player for them as far as I'm concerned Taylor - more for his goalscoring exploits than anything, to think Regi Perrin wanted rid for 500k 12 months ago Ronaldo - Unplayable at times Essien SCHOLES - Absolutely different class, the way he played against Boro this season was one of the finest midfield displays I've ever witnessed. Scholes is dubbed a goalscoring midfield player, he is usually yet I dont think he's scored in the league this season, but that really is a small part of his game, he gives the team so much more, and yes he is my favourite non-toon player, class technique, class tactically, class brain, class attitude. Giggs Drogba Total cunt but different class Kanu - Never convinces me, but have to stick him in because he has shut all his doubters up so far with his goals tally

Word. Still reckon the wrong one will be at SJP..............still think 2-0 If we play to the peak of our abilities, and they play as well as they can, it'll be a fantastic game which we'll win 3-1. If we play shit and they do, we'll still win. "Depends which Tottenham turn up", it should be depends which Newcastle turn up, if the right one turns up, however well Spurs play will be renderered irrelevant. I would leave Parker on the bench to be honest though, I'm fuckin fed up of him slowing the game down, he's done it since he came here, and fucks up counter attacks.
-
Can we beat Spurs? Dear me! Has Dion Dublin got a big cock? I expect to beat them, tehy're shite and were shown up here last season and will be next week. 3-1 again to the toon.

I don't want to sound cocky, but I'm taking it for granted we're in the Quarter Finals. Fenerbahce are shit, for a team to come to SJP in front of just 31,000 when we're playing utter shite football, confidence low, against our reserve team and create ZERO chances, I'm taking it for granted we'll put them out. AZ Alkmaar won't be too difficult an obstacle in my opinion, we'll have nearly all our players back in March anyway not counting for further injuries like, so beating a team who's star player a couldn't get a game for fuckin Rangers will not be too difficult. You have to look at the Premiership now, look at the results our teams have been getting in Europe, at least 2/3rds of the Premiership sides are better quality than almost anyone in the UEFA Cup, and for a rich club like us not to expect to beat little dutch and belgian clubs is ridiculous. Look at Blackburn, they're absolutely shite, and could go down, they go to Feyenoord and by all accounts are unlucky not to win 0-4. If we avoid Werder Bremen, there seriously is no one that we should feel under dogs against. We're the richest club in it, we spend the most money, and I guarantee we'll spend more in January than any UEFA Cup team, and I expect to be heading over the A69 and up the M74 in May. I might go to this Zulte Waregem game like, Gent is 20 miles from Brussels. You can get a Eurostar from Waterloo to Brussels return for about 45 quid, could be an option.
