  1. Really poor performance, the point might be vital in the end though - might win us promotion! Good result
  2. Worst player = Nolan ... might have scored some vital goals earlier in the season but today absolutely shocking
  3. Hope we can get something out of this - really poo performance though
  4. just seen carroll's second goal on sky news... mint cross by simpson... good header by carroll
  5. Don't worry lads, we were never going the fa cup anyway... we'll get promoted, have faith in the squad and get behind the team!
  6. Ameobi - Lovenkrands partnership looks good so far ... with duff pushing forward
  7. Lovenkrands goal: shot by Ryan Taylor, defensive mix up, low shot from 6 yard box by Loven
  8. there's definetely a big gap in class between our squad and the liverpool squad. we miss some players but to go down with 1-5 at home is ridicolous. at least we should have been up for a fight. our midfield was outclassed. on the other hand we were beaten by the leaders - and it's better to lose once by five goals then five times by one goal ;-). Bring on 2009
  9. He's always s*** with Taylor alongside him. Funny that. Summed up when in the first corner after Hyypia's goal, Taylor went upto Colo and said, "I'll mark him this time", so they swapped...and Hyypia got a free header in front of Taylor and forced a save. Seems like bassong is our best central defender right now...
  10. duff might have been our best player, apart from given ... you might be right with your ratings
  11. coloccini was terrible, really amazing that he makes the argentine squad
  12. Yes, I read the same in the morning papers over here in Austria as well. If we could get him it would be immense. Top class manager! http://sport.orf.at/ticker/303553.html Basically it says Advocaat wants to leave Zenit - either back to Holland or to England Source or Link? ZENIT, Advocaat could leave at the end of the year 22.08.2008 00.10 by Eddy Akoglu read 987 Latest rumours from Russia are suggesting that Ducth coach Dick Advocaat could leave Zenit St.Petersburg at the end of 2008. Advocaat is apparently sought after by Liverpool and Middlesbrough. Moreover, the harsh St.Petersburg cold weather seems to be too much to bear for Advocaat and his wife. Most importantly, the working relationship between the Dutchman and Zenit has recently worsened due to the fact that no top quality players were signed by the club officials despite Advocaat's request to do so. It really seems that Advocaat (affectionately nicknamed "Little General") will leave Russia soon http://www.transfermarketweb.com/?action=read&idsel=23267 Dutch media reporting he wants to leave in November.
  13. Arsene Wenger - my ideal choice. But no way he would come here.
  14. To be honest Wenger is a pure master at his job. What makes him successful though is he isn't buying many high profile players and also he signs some of his youth intake not based on what he has seen but on advice from his scouts. That works because he trusts the judgement of his scouts and also partly because a lot of his signings are youth players. I am a big toon fan but I'Ve to say you can't compare Wenger and Keegan - Wenger is 100 times a better manager than keegan - and that is not just because he's Arsenal manager for over a decade
