It will just lead to owners with bottomless access to capital that are planning to build a new stadium to build it under another company, and when built, lease it back on favorable terms to the club or something silly like that.

We already see the likes of Man City getting a 19 year old winger who's one of the best wingers in La Liga this season for a measly £12m I think I saw someone mention in another thread on here yesterday due to buying him from a club owned by another company owned by Man Citys owners.

The clubs who has owners that can afford it will find a way to circumvent the rules like always, just furthering the gap from top to bottom.

Scrap all the FFP related regulations and introduce a requirement for a German type of 50+1  ownership model (though I'm sure owners will magically find a lot of legal issues with that compared to FFP fnar fnar). If a club goes bust then fans won't have much more than themselves to blame for it.

On loan to Gerona (100% owned by the City group) from French League 1 side Troyes, who Man City have done the deal with apparently, are also 100% owned by the City group ..

We should have a Dogawful Commentating thread.

I mean the way they kept prattling about the handball in the second half. Why didn't they spend 2 minutes at half time checking the law? I can't understand how they can be content to waffle on in ignorance. They're being paid FFS!

Someone at ITV must have been checking Twitter and passed something onto the commentary team as Tydsley made reference to the non-complementary references to Newcastle - hilarious

These Journalists are desperate for clicks these days, Newcastle are an easy target.

Aye, amplified with the fact there's nowt else really going on anywhere else in the January window for them to report on

Women’s team sportswashing their way to the WSL before they’ll get there. Completely and utterly broken this lot.

Aye, They may make it out to be about "sportswashing" but it's the last few words in that sentence that confirms what really irks them, "make it the the WSL before us" [emoji38]

Can’t see us letting him go atm, unless he really wants the move now (which would surprise me) summer more likely if it happens. Maybe they’re happy with Dummie stepping up?

Goes for nothing in the summer, nominal fee now - guess it depends if we're spending this window

All of City’s charges, absolutely ridiculous that forest and Everton are getting done when 7 of City’s charges are P&S breaches the same as forest and Everton

Can't see why those 7 P&S breach charges cant be "fast tracked" - surely they can be easy to prove

Then go back and watch the interview again. He mentions that we’ll have to trade players, at no point did he mention having to sell one of our better players though.

My thoughts exactly, he was discussing the FFP options, increasing revenues or player trading - it was the mainstream media that sensationalised that one of Bruno, Botman and Isak will be sold - sickening

    UEFA limit is 70%

    So still not ideal

    Same situation

Need more sponsors / income/ turnover in order to spend / pay decent wages

    chicken / egg

    UEFA's 70% limit is from 2025/26 season -  For 2023/24 is 90%, next season is 80% so we're under

    We are already at 95%

So technically couldn’t sign anyone though - if it has to be 70% of wages / turnover

    Obviously

Sela / Adidas / Champions league money to add on will bring us closer to 70

Wages/Turnover (22/3) ratio is down to 75% from last years 95%

if it is 10 points and only allowed to be fined once... Let's go spend 300 million and take the hit.

But you are right they make it up after the event and we would be relegated no matter what.

Were Everton not fined 6pts then 1pt for every £6m they were over the £105m limit, so anyone wanting to take the hit and overspend by more than £200m would get hit harder?

  11. Question to those that frequent RTG - does that looney "Exile...." still post his bile on there?  Seems to have gone very quiet on twatter?  Would expected him to be in his element before and after the game.  Wonder if he's finally been committed ;D
