Please football gods let us destroy the mackems on Saturday and shut this lot up for good.

Managed 90 seconds of that tripe, Weyer - Tyne derby, fans split on wanting Howe out, beating Newcastle - richest club in the world - will be the end for Eddie.  I hope to God we smash these buggers on Saturday!!

Weren’t Liverpool bankrolled by the Moores family in the 70’s and 80’s?

Liverpool spent the equivalent of £250m in 3 years to get promoted from the old second division in the early 60's - As a division 2 side going nowhere they splashed £37.5k on Ian St John and another £30k on Ron Yeats when the british record Transfer fee was £50k - That's around £135-140m in todays money spent on two players and in an age where there was no real sponsorship of big TV deals - but no they we're "never" bankrolled as a club (as was put to me today by a Liverpool fan on Twatter) :icon_scratch:

I find the whole "6 in a row" thing really odd, like I get for them it was a big deal at the time, especially give where the respective clubs have been in the 20 years prior, but its been near enough 8 years since we last played them, in the mean time we've been a stable Premier League club, that has hit the Champions League and got to a cup final, all the while they've spent 4 seasons in League One after back to back relegations, and took over London for *Checks Notes* The Papa Johns Trophy. Its just bizarre how they keep clinging onto it like it matter or that we Newcastle fans care

Used to irritate me, but I just laugh at it now, it's all they have left to cling on to even having to resort to reinventing history to fuel their copium - They've really put the S in SMB these days :D

Can someone explain what they've been charged with please? They posted a loss of over £300 million, but it's been calculated as a £125m loss, which is £15m over the FFP threshold; is that right? So they've been given a 10 point reduction for going £15m over FFP?

Are Man City gonna end up playing Kings Lynn soon?

Write offs for infrastructure, community, womans football etc - That football finance bloke, Maguire?, has just said on SSN if they'd taken out a bank loan for financing their new stadium instead of taking a "loan" from their owner, they would have been ok ;D

The club must get absolute peanuts from the sale of the Castore merchandise because announcing this now is going to torpedo current season merchandise. Id assume if you haven’t bought some gear or kit yet, you’ll just think twice or wait for it to be on an enormous discount. Which further seems to point that the club are well and truly over the partnership with Castore.

Legit kit about to be sold at DHgate prices ?

Ha, I'd wager I'm older than you.

There's definitely some recency bias in mine, but in all honesty, I wasn't able to see games as regularly in the 90s/early 00s outside of highlights on MOTD or what was on telly. I don't have strong memories of the likes of Marcelino/Pistone/Maric. I've read they were shite, but I saw flashes, so I'm not going to profess I had enough evidence to outweigh the more recent picks. Could probably have thrown the likes of Luque or Bramble in there, but I tried to pick players I genuinely thought to be poor footballers and not those that had a poor spell with us.

Fair enough not being able to remember much about Marcelino, spent most of his time here injured due to a "broken" little finger :D

Such a twat this pizza knob lad is. How anyone would be humoured by it is like the equivalent of taking an IQ test for twats to find out how big a twat you are.

He's posted quite a few of these type of tweets, think hes trying to be "edgy" but comes off as him sounding like bit of a dickhead - shame really as the ITK posts have been solid this summer

Yeah, I would have just posted the same above wiki link. 6 places available, 4 via Champions route and 2 via League route. 2 teams get byes to the Champions route Play Off round, a one tie shoot out to get through, and will be joined by 6 other teams (still TBD, and still a while off), whereby the 4 winners will advance to the group stage proper.

No teams have Playoff round byes in the League route, but eventually 4 teams will make it to that round, possibly Rangers, and those 4 will compete for the 2 final spots.

Will be tough for Rangers, as you'd likely expect them to need to beat PSV to progress to the group stage proper (according to that wiki page anyway)

It’s the same company that do Man City’s apparently

Seems the company, SeatGeek, are well established in the premier league (their uk md used to run the NUFC ticket office in the past apparently!) - Hopefully it will be a smooth transition
