  1. Would be good if Argentina now score an own goal to level the scores again..
  2. The Mexican players should just walk off the pitch tbh..
  3. Another outrageous ref decision..
  4. Come on Slovakia! Much rather play them than Italy in the next round..
  5. Fits with this: http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_6217851,00.html Although Lampard has just been defending Terry. So according to that a clear the air meeting did take place but Terry decided or was instructed to not speak out. All in all a strange affair which will do nothing to ease England's on the pitch worries if you ask me..
  6. The Dutch media are reporting that the likes of Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney have distances themselves from Terry's comments and the meeting apparently has consequently not taken place? Any truth in this?
  7. You'd have both Gerrard and Lampard in the world's best XI midfield ahead of the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Sneijder, Ronaldo, Kaka, Essien, Pirlo, Ribery, Robben, etc etc? In reality, you'd be lucky if most people globally included one or two English players in their World XI, and even then it's mainly due because the Premiership is one of the most televised/popular leagues in the world. If the England players have the same warped view of their own ability that goes a long way towards explaining why they aren't performing to the level the English public expect them to... he did say "all but" the very best teams tbf to ronaldo. Fair enough, didn't read that..

  9. Real Madrid What the hell has Real Madrid done to Kaka? Same thing they do to all their players: they degress
  10. Not a long ball reaches its target with this diabolical Jubilani. Disgraceful...
  11. on group form paraguay would be the more testing opponent True, true, but I know who I'd rather face..
  12. Dear me, I now hope the Italians score even though I hate them as otherwise Holland may well face them in the next round instead of Paraguay...
  13. What a shity celebration as well. Hope NZ go on to win this..
  14. Fucking Italian dive.. Typical..
  15. They deserved the lead too. Looks a good team, Paraguay does..
  16. Robert Huth. Hmm of Boro and Stoke fame though. How about Podolski? Only plays well for the national team and the first German player to miss a penalty for 20 years or summat. Ozil?
  17. That would have been good..... France have been rather like the pompous arrogant Dutch players of the late 80s and 90s Thought they only had to turn up, no discipline, no respect for their coach, swaggering pack of dipsticks. Took them years to get their act back together. Huh? I guess he means the squads in the 90's that were rumoured to be split between whites/surinam That was 1996. In the 80's we were almost non existant until 1988 where we won the Euro Cup. 1990 was a bad tournament (last 16, lost to winner Germany), 1992 was ok (reached SF, lost to winner Denmark), 1994 was ok (reached QF, lost to winner Brazil), 1996 ok (QF lost to France) and 1998 was great (semis vs Brazil). I don't think you can say these Dutch teams self destructed the way the French are doing now, although 1990 and 1996 could have been better, but show me a nation that couldn't have done better. I personally think this track record is very respectable for a nation the size of Holland.

  19. More @ http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8750168.stm/ Christ, that's desperate stuff. Doesn't mean they're behind him at all, just that he's been told to say they are. You're just being negative now.. Just realistic. Well it's true. If you have to come out and publicly say you back the manager, there's a problem. Not when it is preceded by dozens of articles in the national papers suggesting there is a problem. Cause and effect. From an outsider's perspective, it almost looks like you are trying to self destruct in this World Cup, and the media and fans are actually enjoying it when they have something to complain about. Can people not to a reasonable extent support the team and evaluate the performance after the tournament is over? Seems like a shit storm is being created out of nothing and before you know it the situation is out of control and nobody trusts nobody anymore. Classic example of shooting yourselves in the foot.
