In any case, a national team manager needs results in these kinds of tournaments, or they’d be out on their arse in weeks, so to hell with this kind of long term thinking. Looking at the positives, all our players are home earlier than expected, not overly tired and without injuries, so they should be ready for the second half of the season no problem after a couple of weeks to reflect and recharge.
